Good morning. Heading out to skate with my crew now. Frozen water. First time skating in the morning this summer, and it’s already crazy hot. Just got here. Only one person’s here so far. Ah, it’s too frozen, can’t even put the powder in. Trying out different ways to have fun. Had the place to ourselves for hours. It’s so hot I’m dying. Time for a shower. Shower. Making lunch. Scrambled eggs. Here’s lunch. Oatmeal mixed with natto and kimchi, plus scrambled eggs. Man, it’s been a while since I went out in the morning, felt so good. And even after skating like three hours, it’s still only noon. Honestly, for health and lifestyle, skating in the morning is the best. But yeah, the sunlight is just way too hot. At night you don’t gotta reapply sunscreen, which is nice, but it’s dark so you can’t see the ground well, and I always end up going to bed late. But in terms of how good it feels, morning wins. Morning’s also when you can make the most of your time. And yeah, it’s so hot that almost nobody’s out here in the morning. Letting this soak in oxygen bleach for 30 minutes. Nap time. Washing my eye mask cover too. Using Utamaro detergent for delicate clothes. Yeah, I bought it by mistake. Hanging it to dry. Got these oil sardines from my Amazon wishlist. Thanks so much for sending them. They’re so good I end up eating them right away. Alright, let’s watch The Simpsons. Watching The Simpsons. I watch The Simpsons here and there, but nope… I don’t get it at all. Way too hard. I couldn’t understand it so much that I even tried watching it in Japanese once. And even in Japanese, it was actually pretty tough. A lot of times I hear a line and I’m like, “Huh?” and it takes me a second to figure it out. It’s because there’s not much normal conversation—it’s just packed with jokes. So if I can’t even instantly get it in Japanese, there’s no way I can follow it in English. Same with South Park—I watched that in Japanese too, and it was crazy hard. Yeah, this is just impossible for me. Honestly, even ten years from now, I doubt I’ll be able to watch The Simpsons in English. It might even be harder than movies for adults, to be honest. I feel like you need to understand at least 70–80% or it’s tough to keep watching. Bare minimum, you should get like 50%. Right now, I don’t even understand 10% of The Simpsons. So yeah, I’m just gonna cancel Disney+. I’ll just watch Simpsons clips on YouTube every now and then. Alright, I’m heading to the supermarket now. First stop is Gyomu Super, and with my e-bike I get there super fast. Made it. This is what I came to buy. Hopping between supermarkets is so easy. Buying veggies. The mizuna that was here is gone. Sandy barely had any veggies today, so I came to Oasis. Avocado. They have mizuna, but it’s twice the usual price. Tearing up some lettuce. Draining the water. Cutting up tomatoes. Cutting up avocado. Cutting tofu. Grating ginger. Making chicken broth. Gyomu Super’s chicken soup base is super cheap. But honestly, the best deal for me is this sliced chili. You get this huge bag for like 398 yen. Overall, not everything’s cheap, but the cheap stuff is insanely cheap. Ah crap, spilled a little. Cleaning the bath. Plating it up. As usual, cold shabu. And after this, I’m making one more dish. Honestly, this plus oatmeal is already enough. Or rice. Looks like I can sleep early tonight. Last week I stayed up late three days in a row, so last night I couldn’t fall asleep at all. So yeah, I’m running on no sleep today. Waking up right before noon really ruins the whole day. Feels like everything just goes wrong. Not sure why though. But yeah, I totally lose focus. Cooked rice, but no side dishes, so I’m just eating it with salt. So simple, but so good. Bath time. Moisturizing my lips with Vaseline. Moisturizing my feet with cream. Moisturizing my nails with nail oil. Stretching while listening to English. Good morning. Slept like a baby. Yoga. Bone dry out here. Man, it’s hot. Stand in direct sunlight and within 10 seconds you’re sweating buckets. Lunch time. Kinda ran out of ketchup though. I wanted to cut down on stuff when I skate, so I thought I’d ditch the backpack and just use a drawstring bag… but nope, doesn’t work. If I’m not using my helmet it’s fine, but with the helmet it just doesn’t work. I usually change like twice on days like this, so I bring two shirts and two towels. And of course I bring frozen water too. So yeah, gotta stick with the backpack. Alright, heading to skate school first and then Murasaki Park. Wonder how long it’ll take by e-bike. If I push the speed a bit, it actually gets pretty tiring. Made it to Ryokuchi Koen Station in no time. I’m in a totally new spot right now. First time taking this road, feels fresh. But if I go this way all the time, it’ll turn into a grind. That’s Expo Memorial Park over on the right. Took me about 25 minutes to get here, I think. There’s a bike-only road here, super easy to ride. From here it’s just straight ahead. Probably under 40 minutes total. Man, I’m beat. Here we are. Just started practice and it began raining. Had to stop ‘cause of a sudden downpour. Rain stopped, back to practice. I catch stuff I normally wouldn’t notice right away. Leveling up week by week. It poured like crazy, but it’s already dry. Alright, heading over to Murasaki Park now. Takes about 10 minutes to get there. Super close. There it is, Lalaport. Didn’t know this road was here at all. Oh, bike parking’s here. Made it to the bike parking. It’s free. Last time a viewer gave me a ride, we came to this parking lot. Alright, I’m inside Lalaport. Nice and cool. And it totally smells like caramel popcorn. Made it to Murasaki Park. I wonder if there’s bike parking around here. Practice. I’m starving, need to grab something to eat. That melon bread looks good. This looks good too. Coke Zero. Got melon bread, apple pie, and Coke Zero. Came to 450 yen. Not bad. Brain pop sound effect. Starting with the melon bread. It’s been years since I’ve had melon bread. I rarely eat bread in general. It’s not crunchy at all, but it tastes good. Thinking I’ll head home around 6:30. Want to leave around sunset. Alright, I’ll do ollies for another hour and then head out. Ollies are seriously tough. Even at school, they pointed out so many things I need to fix. Gotta focus on each one and work through them. By the end of the year, I want to clear this height 100%. Heading home. Ended up skating longer than I thought. I’m super tired, so I’ll just cruise home. Even if I take it slow, I’ll still beat the train home. On the move. I keep messing up the route. Just on the way back alone, I’ve already taken the wrong turn like three times. Oh, this is Momoyamadai. I came here once for a job interview back when I was job hunting. Grating ginger. Top it with green onions and pour on some noodle sauce. If I sit down, it’s tough to get back up, so I started cooking as soon as I got home. This is actually something I planned to make yesterday but skipped, so all the prep was already done. Cooking chicken in garlic-infused oil. Throwing in broccoli. Now adding butter to make it garlic butter. Dinner’s ready. By the way, I got lost so much on the way back that it took 49 minutes. Still about the same as taking the train though. Man, I moved around a lot today. I sweated like crazy, but since I already changed clothes, I’m eating first. Honestly, for better sleep quality, it’s best to eat first and then take a bath. Freshly grated ginger makes this taste amazing. So good. Dang, it’s so good I kinda want another one. From now on, I’m eating two servings of hiyayakko every day. Yeah, this is really good too. Feels great. Good morning. I woke up at 6 and couldn’t fall back asleep, so I just got up. Making iced coffee. Yesterday I really overworked my legs, so they’re super tired. But at least they don’t hurt. Anyway, today I’m going to Spotaka’s skate school. The class is from 6 to 8. But if you’re signed up for the class, you can skate for free starting at 3, so I’ll head to Shinsaibashi by then. Lunch time. Honestly, I’m starting to get tired of cold shabu. Nap. Alright, I’m heading to Shinsaibashi now, but I’ll stop in Umeda for a brow salon first. I thought I’d been going to the brow salon every three months or so, but the last time was November last year. Totally slacked off. Lately I wear a cap almost every day, so my eyebrows are totally out there like this. So honestly, I should be grooming my brows more than my hair. Though yeah, I should get a haircut too. Getting to Shinsaibashi or Namba is easy without even checking a map. Super chill. But since I’ve walked this route so many times, there’s nothing fresh about it. Crossing the Yodogawa River. Feels so good to ride in spots like this. Made it to Umeda. Dang, this bike parking lot’s full. There’s another one right next to it, I’ll park there. Only the upper levels are open though. Got it parked. Alright, heading into the brow salon. All done. Now heading over to Shinsaibashi. It’s been a while since I biked around here. Feels nostalgic. Saw someone on a LUUP earlier, they were flying. Might even be faster than an e-bike. Made it to Shinsaibashi. Bike parking. Nice and cool. Three hours free here. Even if you go past three hours, it’s only 150 yen up to 12 hours. Made it to Spotaka. Skating till 8 tonight. Only slept like five and a half hours, so I’m super sleepy. Taking a break before practice. Gonna grab a quick bite at Saizeriya. So sleepy. Ordered the Milano-style doria and some chorizo. Saizeriya is insanely cheap. And it’s good too. Practiced a new trick. Somehow managed to land it. All done. Kinda brutal to ride an hour home now. Didn’t know Midosuji had illuminations even this time of year. Matsu-no-ya. The AC’s blasting so hard you can literally see the air moving. Freezing in here. Got the chicken tender cutlet set and added tartar sauce. Had two refills of miso soup. Bath time. Just woke up. Slept like a rock. I slept about ten hours. But honestly, I really needed it, so I’m glad. Been running on a sleep deficit this past week. And sweating like crazy the past couple days had me completely wiped out. Finally feel recovered. Chopping onions. Sautéing. Cooking while drinking coffee. Alright, here’s lunch. Dig in. Nap. Cleaning. My whole body’s sore as hell. Yeah, I’m still nowhere near recovered. Even after sleeping 10 hours, I still feel heavy. Both my legs are super sore. I’m gonna go skate later, but honestly jumping’s gonna be rough today. My legs just won’t lift. I was thinking of doing an early morning session tomorrow, but looks like it might rain. And the day after I’m going to Expo, so that’d mean two days in a row without skating. So yeah, I gotta skate today. Especially my hips, they really start to hurt. When I kick my legs up hard. I ran out of Muji body sheets, so I bought these instead, and the cooling feel is actually pretty nice. And you get 28 sheets for just 299 yen. It’s so hot I go through like three a day. Looks like there’s some kind of event going on. There’s a few people around, but not that many. Practice. Still eating, but here’s dinner. I’ve been eating cold shabu for like a month straight. Thought I was done with it, but nah, it still slaps. Honestly though, cold tofu is just way too good. Tube ginger doesn’t taste this good. But lately lettuce has been getting expensive. Making pasta. Totally forgot to sauté the cabbage. Boiling the pasta. These oil sardines are fire. Here it is—oil sardine pasta. So good. Alright, it’s just sleep time after this, so I’ll wrap it up here. So yeah, I started this e-bike lifestyle, but honestly, going far in this season is rough. I just can’t stop sweating. But once summer’s over, I think it’ll be way more comfortable. Can’t wait for fall. Even in winter, during the day it’s not that cold, so riding around should still be chill. Though mid-winter might be a bit rough. But hey, this saves me on train fares, and I can get to Ryokuchi Park super quick now, so as long as my body holds up, I wanna skate almost every day. But honestly, after skating yesterday and today, I just felt kinda down. Like, I seriously suck. Why the heck am I this bad? But I guess that’s how everyone struggles and gets better. I just gotta keep at it, so tomorrow I’ll hit an early morning session. I can’t land stuff now, but that’s just how it is. It’s not like I’ve been practicing that much up till now anyway. What really matters is where I’m at a month, two months, a year from now. So yeah, if you liked this video, hit that like button and subscribe. I’d really appreciate it. Thanks for watching.
