With Joseph Kosinski & Brad Pitt’s death-defying sports epic making its debut on VOD this week, Tara Erickson, Aaron Alexander, & Andrew Gordon hit the racetrack to give their F1 Reaction, Recap, Analysis, & Spoiler Review!

Buckle up! In F1: The Movie—directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick)—Brad Pitt (Fight Club, Moneyball) shines as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One star coaxed out of retirement to help rescue his underdog old team, APXGP, from collapse..Facing off against his own legacy and a rising rival, Hayes must adapt to modern F1 technology while navigating intense racing stakes and personal demons.
Opposite Pitt is Damson Idris (Snowfall) as hotshot rookie Joshua Pearce, who’s both teammate and opponent on the track, Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin, Martin McDonagh’s troupe) plays Kate McKenna, the talented APXGP technical director and Hayes’s love interest. Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men) plays Rubén Cervantes, Hayes’s former teammate-turned-team owner who wants redemption for his struggling squad
The film’s pulse emerges in its jaw-dropping, practical racing sequences—filmed live at Grand Prix events with real drivers like Lewis Hamilton making cameos. The cinematography and editing deliver an immersive thrill ride praised by critics and audiences alike as “cinematic brilliance,” even as the script drew mixed responses.
With Hans Zimmer’s electrifying score under the hood, F1 revs film and motorsport worlds into overdrive. Join Tara, Aaron, and Andrew as they pit cinematic spectacle against storytelling, and debate whether F1 earns its pole position—or stalls at the finish line.

    1. There are two types of F1 fans — first are happy to tell you lore and share fascinating tidbits about F1, and the second type is basically “HOW DARE YOU NOT WATCH F1, LOSERS?!”
I wish I were exaggerating but I am not, and while I have no questions for the type one, type two should look in the mirror and think about their behavior. Surpriseeee, other people have other hobbies, and it's not insulting for other people to enjoy this movie or not know who Lando Norris/Fernando Alonso/ Charles Leclerc/whoever is, it's life. If you don't like this movie, why are you even here?

    2. The relationship between sonny and his engineer is just BAD – F1 is already misogynistic lets make the female lead sleep with a driver which in reality puts her job at risks and reduces her to 'she only got there because she's sleeping with a driver' why the story needed a storyline of that is wild

    3. I hoped this one to be a good representation of F1…
Well, Hollywood did it again. Rush remaining the best F1 movie…

    4. Fun fact the girl on the right has already watched the movie, knowing that he would fold even with better hand plus reassuring them it's chris Hemsworth, she even said he's flying right before the actress says it I know how to read people

    5. The fun fact is that everyone saying its nascar at the beginning its not nascar
Nascar : only go in cirles for 300 to 500 laps based on track length(cars movie)

24h le mans or 24h of endurance: cars race for 24h on grid

    6. Daytona is different from NASCAR though, NASCAR is basically US thing (but I love it), the iconic appearance of NASCAR is its cartoon and plastic like “car shell”. In terms of F1, the ultimate speed machine, challenging the limits of human body. People always say that today’s F1 is the limit of human, not the limit of cars. Glad to see that the organization focuses more on drivers safety and limits nowadays, otherwise it will be much dangerous than it is now

    7. Hi!! Well the number one difference is the F1 cars are significantly FASTER than nascar. F1 has some of the fastest cars in the WORLD.!! If not THE fastest car.

    8. Another YouTube channel out of hundreds that choose not to go to the movie theater to support these movies, instead they are waiting for them to come out, watch them at home, record themselves watching it and hope people send them in money so they can make money off of other creators and other people's work, instead of actually creating their own art or content themselves. I think it's really sad and not right what YouTube and the internet has become that so many youtubers, and there's hundreds of them out there that wait for movies to come out of the theaters hit on streaming or whatever watch them at home, record themselves watching it so they hope that people will watch them watching it and send their money to them, so they can make money off of other creators, Instead of actually going out and creating things or making their own stuff themselves. Why not just go support these movies in theaters? Why didn't y'all go watch this movie in the cinema? Oh, because y'all wanted to wait for it to come out so y'all could make money off of it, and do a reaction to it on those channels, so y'all can get more attention. And so many people wonder why the movie industry or the theater experience is failing. Not solely because of this, but this is one of the many, many reasons that a lot of people don't want to talk about or bring up especially youtubers will even talk about, because then they would have to call themselves out. And they'll never do that. It's just a shame to see what's happened to our culture and the main people who are calling out these issues who always talk about them and why these things are happening are part of the problem of why the thing is happening

    9. 34:00 For the whole Hungarian GP events in the movie: Look up the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix to see what the FIA would likely actually do if a team used one of its cars to help their other driver gain a significant advantage.

    10. You guys need to research Formula 1 you missed so many Easter eggs One being Lewis Hamilton 7 times world Champion is in it and he produced this film too loads of input into film .

    11. There seem to be "small indirect reference with Hayes talking style (Räikkönen) and then young one (Hamilton)" produced by Hamilton.

22:50 Slicks have more grip in corners but worse when it's slightly wet.

    12. That was not Chris Hemworth but Liam Hemsworth his brother who was married to Miley Cyrus. Also F1 cars and Nascar are worlds apart in terms of car composition and racing. F1 is low floor car wheread NASCAR is similar to Dakar Rally and can be used for of road racing as well. Cheers from India.
