    Ingredients (Serves 2)
    โ€ข1 bag of fish cakes (approximately 200g, 6 pieces)
    โ€ข1 carrot
    โ€ข2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    โ€ขGrated garlic, to taste
    โ€ข1/2 teaspoon salt
    โ€ข1 tablespoon mirin (sweet rice wine)
    โ€ข1 tablespoon soy sauce
    โ€ข1/2 tablespoon sugar
    โ€ขBlack pepper, to taste
    โ€ข1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
    โ€ขWhite sesame seeds, generously

    Instructions

    1.Cut the fish cakes into slices about 5mm wide.
    2.Cut the carrot into thin, rectangular slices.
    3.Add the vegetable oil to a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Add the grated garlic and sautรฉ until fragrant.
    4.Add the carrots and stir-fry, then add the salt.
    5.Once the carrots start to soften, add the fish cakes and continue to stir-fry.
    6.Season with mirin, soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Once the ingredients are well coated with the seasonings, add the sesame oil and sesame seeds to finish.
