Ingredients (Serves 2)
โข1 bag of fish cakes (approximately 200g, 6 pieces)
โข1 carrot
โข2 tablespoons vegetable oil
โขGrated garlic, to taste
โข1/2 teaspoon salt
โข1 tablespoon mirin (sweet rice wine)
โข1 tablespoon soy sauce
โข1/2 tablespoon sugar
โขBlack pepper, to taste
โข1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
โขWhite sesame seeds, generously
Instructions
1.Cut the fish cakes into slices about 5mm wide.
2.Cut the carrot into thin, rectangular slices.
3.Add the vegetable oil to a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Add the grated garlic and sautรฉ until fragrant.
4.Add the carrots and stir-fry, then add the salt.
5.Once the carrots start to soften, add the fish cakes and continue to stir-fry.
6.Season with mirin, soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Once the ingredients are well coated with the seasonings, add the sesame oil and sesame seeds to finish.
