When you take a bite with the rich demi-glace sauce, the melting texture brings a sense of happiness. The richness of the sauce and the mild acidity are perfectly balanced, allowing you to fully enjoy the umami of the Wagyu beef. The restaurant’s signature dish, freshly baked brioche bread, is larger than expected. The bread is surprisingly fluffy and slightly sweet, with a hint of butter flavor in the dough. Adding butter enhances the rich flavor, and it pairs perfectly with the demi-glace sauce. I enjoyed the aftertaste of the meal while sipping my drink, making for a thoroughly satisfying lunch. Thanks to the kindness of the staff, I was able to take photos of the beautiful interior, and their warm hospitality was truly soothing. “Osaka, Hirakata” The second store is Sōsōto in Hirakata. A popular traditional Japanese house café serving body-friendly lunches made with nearly 30 ingredients. A charming store renovated from a 100-year-old traditional house. Features a wide selection of antique accessories, creating a world of exceptional taste. Each seat—sofa or table—offers a completely different impression, with every seat being picture-perfect. The colorful and carefully prepared dishes are all delicious and good for your health. “Vegetarian Menu” My wife chose the vegetarian menu, which featured round croquettes as the main dish. Grilled vegetables such as Awaji carrots are sweet, with the umami of the vegetables concentrated. The main chickpea croquette has a crispy coating and a fluffy, curry-flavored texture inside. The brown rice cooked in a clay pot has a pleasant texture and is a lunch that energizes you from the inside out. “Lunch B” I chose the plate with a hamburger patty topped with a Japanese-style grated radish sauce as the main dish. It’s loaded with seasonal vegetables, and the salt that comes with it brings out the sweetness of the veggies. The soybean and lotus root hamburger has a fluffy texture, and the lotus root adds a fun crunch. This is a recommended lunch that provides your tired body with vitamins and nutrients. As the impactful name suggests, this restaurant is famous for its authentic carbonara and Bolognese. The interior is a clean, wood-based space with sunlight streaming in through the windows, creating a comfortable atmosphere. There are counter seats by the windows overlooking the park and comfortable table seats. The pasta, made with a lot of care, is so delicious that there is often a wait during lunch time. The sauce is quite rich, with the flavors of cheese and mentaiko lingering on the palate, making it an absolute delight. The pasta is made with flat noodles, offering a chewy texture that pairs perfectly with the rich sauce. The refreshing aftertaste of shiso leaves is also exquisite, making this a pasta dish you won’t forget once you try it. “Bolognese” Our signature Bolognese dish topped with Parmesan cheese and a soft-boiled egg. Our自慢のソース is a sauce that takes several days to prepare, packed with the umami of vegetables and domestic beef. Made with chunks of meat rather than ground meat, it has a satisfying texture and pairs perfectly with the chewy pasta. When mixed with hot spring eggs and cheese, it becomes an absolute masterpiece, an exquisite Bolognese that will leave you in awe. The pasta, made with care and attention to detail, is all top-notch and definitely worth revisiting. At this price point, it’s rare to find pasta of this quality, so it immediately became a favorite. The staff’s warm smiles were soothing, so I definitely want to visit again. Now, on to the next restaurant. “Rice and Honey”
“Osaka, Honmachi” The fourth shop is Rice and Honey in Honmachi. This shop is popular for its rice balls made with Tamba Koshihikari rice, and it opened in June 2024. The first floor is a takeout space, and the second floor is an eat-in space with a warm, wooden interior. This time, we ordered the popular plate that comes with unlimited refills of rice balls. The miso soup is rich in ingredients, with a strong dashi flavor that soothes and relaxes you. The freshly made onigiri are fluffy, with just the right amount of salt to bring out the sweetness of the rice, making them absolutely delicious. The side dishes, such as dashi-flavored omelet, croquettes, fried eggplant, and braised pork, are all delicious. Especially the Nasu and braised pork are my favorites. The rice is so delicious that I had seconds. The onigiri is so delicious that it makes me want to come back again and again. The onigiri is available for mobile ordering with unlimited refills, so you can eat until you’re full and happy. Since they close once they run out of ingredients, I recommend visiting as early as possible. The anmitsu and dorayaki during café time are also said to be delicious, so I’d like to visit again. “Osaka, Hanazono-cho” The fifth restaurant is Perotto, located in Hanazono-cho. This bistro, run by a chef with a French background, opened in November 2023. The cheese oozes out generously from the inside, creating a delightful surprise that is a treat for the eyes as well. The creamy blue cheese sauce is rich and pairs perfectly with the tender chicken breast. The crispy coating adds a fun texture, and the flavorful sauce makes this a dish you’ll want to savor. “Scotch Egg” This Scotch Egg features two types of sauce: onion sauce and tomato butter sauce. Inside the coating is black-haired Wagyu beef mince, whose rich flavor spreads throughout. The tomato butter sauce has a pleasant acidity, while the onion sauce is rich and sweet—both are absolutely delicious. The restaurant’s signature sauces are so impressive that this dish will stay with us forever. The bread is served hot and has a chewy texture, pairing well with the main dish’s sauce. Side dishes are available in several varieties, allowing you to enjoy different options depending on your mood. The refreshing tomatoes and herb-infused potatoes are so delicious you can’t stop eating them. They also offer wines and spirits that pair well with Western cuisine, making it perfect for those who enjoy drinking. The menu is so appealing that one visit is not enough to enjoy everything, so I definitely want to come back again. Now, on to the next restaurant. “Koko Head Cafe Osaka”
“Osaka, Umeda” The sixth store is Koko Head Cafe Osaka, located in Umeda. This popular Hawaiian cafe from Oahu, Hawaii, has opened its first branch in the Kansai region. This unique establishment transforms into a steakhouse at night after operating as a cafe during the day. The interior features a sleek, stylish design with potted plants, creating a fashionable space. There are table seats and counter seats where you can relax while enjoying the view of the garden. The interior is a stylish space that feels like you’ve stumbled upon a corner of Paris, making it a very picturesque setting. The fluffy, creamy omelette pairs perfectly with the rich demi-glace sauce. The prosciutto and spinach are also delicious, and they go wonderfully with bread. This popular menu item showcases the restaurant’s dedication to authentic demi-glace sauce. “Chicken Breast Cutlet with Egg Mayo” The other main dish is the chicken breast cutlet. The cutlet has a crispy texture, while the chicken breast is tender, creating an enjoyable contrast in textures. The creamy, runny ufu mayo is even more delicious when eaten with the cutlet, bringing a sense of happiness. It’s filling and satisfying, making it one of our favorite menu items. The popovers are so delicious that we keep ordering more. The sweet and salty flavor of whipped butter and maple syrup is so delicious that once you try it, you’ll be hooked. Located in the convenient area of Umeda, this all-you-can-eat bread lunch at this price is a real attraction. It’s simple, but that’s what makes it so delicious. It’s one of our favorite dishes. “Fresh Pasta Lunch” This is a weekly changing fresh pasta lunch that comes with fluffy soup bread and soup. Today’s pasta is tomato sauce pasta with mozzarella cheese and basil. The cheese is more abundant than expected, and it pairs perfectly with the slightly tangy tomato sauce. The chewy fresh pasta is also delicious, and it’s best enjoyed with the fluffy steamed bread. During lunch hours, the place is always crowded, so reservations are recommended. Closed: Tue, Wed “UKA’s Lunch Plate” This is the most popular lunch plate at the store, with the menu changing regularly. The rice malt miso soup has a soothing, gentle flavor that warms the body. The side dishes, such as sweet potato tempura and white miso-based salad, highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. You can choose between brown rice or a mix of 10 grains, and the homemade sesame salt has just the right amount of saltiness. The main dish of the day is Bitchu Highlands chicken nanban, with tender, juicy meat. The tofu tartar sauce has a rich flavor yet a light aftertaste, making it an absolute delight. The shirasu donburi, which I upgraded for an additional fee, was delicious with its fluffy shirasu and outstanding flavor. I was able to enjoy a variety of ingredients in small portions, and the lunch was very satisfying. The restaurant is so popular during lunchtime that there is often a line, so it is recommended to visit with plenty of time to spare. The staff’s warm service was soothing, and I would like to visit again to recharge my energy. From here on, it’s bonus footage. I came to the Tenjin Festival. This was the eve of the festival on the 24th. The town is filled with a festive atmosphere. Everyone is mesmerized by the professional dragon dance. Even the turtle seems to be feeling the heat of the festival. Since I’m here, I’d like to enjoy the food stalls as well. I’ve come to my favorite Nova. The annual Tenjin Festival-limited shaved ice. My wife couldn’t decide between melon and strawberry, so she ended up ordering both. She was thrilled to receive a cute fan as well. There were many food stalls, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The powerful lion dance. Everyone was captivated by the cool performance. The umbrella dance also began. The Tenjin Festival is also cool for women. Seeing this scene makes me think summer has arrived. Delicious-looking “Tenjin-yaki” was discovered. Eating at a food stall while sweating in the heat is the best. That said, since the sweat won’t stop, I had shaved ice to finish. It’s huge… Looking forward to the main shrine festival too. I also came to the main shrine on the 25th. There’s a huge crowd in front of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine… The brass band members in yukata look cool. The powerful Sarutahiko Okami. Perhaps due to the influence of the World Expo, there seem to be more people than usual this year. I want many people outside of Osaka to see this festival. My wife wants to eat spicy food even though it’s so hot. I’m glad she’s happy. There are already many people near the venue for the dedication fireworks. I’m starting to feel like eating Chicken Ramen. The sun is setting, and finally the fireworks begin. 2025, our first fireworks display. I’m relieved that we managed to find a good spot to watch them again this year. Everyone looked so happy every time the fireworks went off. いつにましても食レポが素晴らしく、画面を通して匂いや味が伝わってきます。Chez Noixさんのパンをちぎるときパンのバターの香りがするようでした。奥さまのフォークで押さえてナイフを入れる角度がきれいで、その食べ物の美味しさをいっそう引き立てる役割もしています。いつもカフェめぐりをしてましたが、ランチめぐりもしてみたいと思います。今回も素敵な動画ありがとうございます。
