🇰🇷제주 vlog | 여행하듯 보낸 주말 데이트 기록

hello Just some sweet weekend moments with my husband Seonheul Bangju Grandma’s Restaurant People were already lining up when we got there. We decided what to order ahead of time to save time. A place I’ve dreamed of visiting for the past 3 years. Remember when I joked about having a billion places to explore? This spot is exactly one of those must-visit places. The acorn pancake came out first. It was cut into bite-sized pieces, perfect for sharing. So crispy and tasty, can’t get enough! 🤤 This is Dome kalguksu. The noodles are made by mixing acorn flour and buckwheat flour. So the noodles have a natural brown hue. I’m a big fan of acorns (but I’m definitely not a squirrel!) Its subtle bitterness and mild taste suited us perfectly. A dish we knew we had to try when we came here. It’s the gomchwi dumplings. Instead of a dough wrapper, these dumplings are wrapped in gomchwi leaves. Good for our health and so tasty! A perfect, delicious meal to end the day. Seonheul Art Studio While flipping through a local paper, I came across an exhibition. This place is hosting a unique event. An event to find your own companion artwork, just like adopting a pet. Carrying it on your shoulder, you can enjoy the exhibition anywhere. What a really adorable event! I’m taking this artwork with me on my shoulder to enjoy the exhibition! It was so precious that I held it very carefully. A studio and gallery run by grandmothers from Seonheul. The art director and teacher kindly taught the grandmothers in Seonheul how to paint. Such lovely paintings! 💖 A special place for the grandmother artists of Jeju. Stories from the grandmothers’ childhoods. and Recently, they held an exhibition themed around the drama [When Life Gives You Tangerines] This is the second exhibition they’ve held. Even Aesuni (IU) stopped by here. You can see pictures of Aesuni (the drama’s heroine) all around! 😍 Since 2021, they’ve been learning to paint in this place. They’ve been keeping up their artistic journey ever since. They’ve taken part in several different forums as well. To keep dreaming, regardless of age, is truly inspiring. Someday, when I’m a grandmother, I hope to live a life full of dreams. The exhibition appears to be an annual event. We’re planning to visit the next exhibition as well. We also bought a book. Beecave cafe A must-visit cafe I’ve dreamed of coming to. A well-known photo spot cafe on the east side of Jeju. You can rent photography gear here for free. So I saw people grabbing props and heading outside. 😄 Looks like some people are already out there snapping pics! 😊 But before that, a little caffeine and sugar break! The sky may be grey, but the heat is definitely here. It’s a dessert called Oreo terrine. I’d never had it before, and it was rich, moist, and super chewy. Let’s take a look around outside now. The cave I was most curious about. The season of hydrangeas is here. 🌸 A place where a celebrity shot a music video. we skipped the helmet since it wasn’t mandatory—and honestly, a bit of a hassle. 😅 But the ceiling is low, so you have to watch your head. We had to walk for quite a while, bent over in half. And then, you’ll suddenly come across a space as stunning as this. A vertical shot. By the way, I wonder how they filmed the music video here? It’s so cramped like this, after all. We ran into a cat that lives here. 🐾 But is it just me, or are more and more cats these days acting like affectionate little puppies? 😺 Anything with fur is just automatically cute. 🐾 This place isn’t just about the mysterious cave—there are so many pretty photo spots all around! It feels like we’ve stepped into a theme park. So this is the famous verbena spot! One of the things I love about Jeju is that you can enjoy flowers all year round. I’m sure they take care of that mattress every day… right? (Says the rational part of my brain) 😅 Feels like the whole day is flying by just exploring this place. It was such a lovely day. ☀️ We came to have some mulhoe (cold raw fish soup). Eojin’s Must-Visit Mulhoe Spot with Stunning Ocean Views Ah, glacial acetic acid! That’s how you know this mulhoe place is the real deal. Wow! They say this is for two people! Gonna have to unbuckle my belt for this! This is Jepi (or Chopi), a plant with an intense, fragrant aroma, almost like cilantro but with its own unique twist! That was truly an unfamiliar herb to me. Oh! We got grilled fish as a side dish!👍 Refreshing, sweet, and tangy squid mulhoe! Look how much squid is in here! My husband, a true Jeju native, says this is his go-to spot! Originally, only Jeju islanders would come here. Eventually, word got out and it turned into a popular restaurant even for Jeju visitors. My husband, who’s open to all kinds of spices. Since I can’t even handle cilantro, I opted out of the jepi. I’m a huge mulhoe fanatic, and this restaurant was seriously a taste sensation! Wow, I’m once again amazed by this never-ending mulhoe portion! That was a super satisfying lunch! While we’re here in Bomo-ri, we might as well go enjoy the sea! Seems like this spot is pretty popular for scuba diving. I’ve been curious to try it at least once. But… I’m kinda scared of the water 😅 Hug in Jeju Stopped by a cozy cafe nearby Ordered a salted caramel schspanner and grapefruit ade to enjoy! What brought me to Jeju No matter where I am, the ocean is always there Hot summer vibes making me skip cooking at home Going out with my husband, hand in hand, has become our usual thing lately 😅 Heard about a popular bingsu cafe nearby, so we had to check it out MANCHEOP DESSERT HAUS The cafe is on the third floor, and yep, no elevator here! A lovely cafe where you can see Jeju Mokgwana Having lots of beautiful spots around means… It’s really wonderful😊 Oh my, those girls are just too cute! ❤️ inally trying the hojicha bingsu I wanted to taste The presentation is everything! How can it be this pretty? My partner, a big fan of rice cakes, added some chewy glutinous rice cakes to our order It’s fun to break it apart and eat! As someone who’s never tried hojicha before, here’s what I think Guess what? I’m into hojicha! (Subscribers: What?) Hojicha bingsu and hojicha ice cream I was totally hooked on hojicha!😂 Suddenly… a Gibitz flex 😆 Had to show off our new (and super cute) Jibbitz! ✨ Grown-up? Nah. Just forty and forever young at heart 😆 Jeju Mokgwana(Old Government Office) After polishing off the bingsu… 😎 So we made a little stop here Back in the Joseon Dynasty, this was Jeju’s main government district. Now, it’s been designated as a national heritage site. While I was in Shanghai, it was common to see Koreans wearing traditional Chinese clothes. The other way around, I was amazed to see Chinese people dressed in traditional Korean hanbok. Sharing our cultures with one another is such a beautiful thing. Wooden ox used during Ipchun Gut (the traditional Korean spring ritual) Next year, I’ll make sure to see the Ipchun Gut ritual in person. That’s it for today’s video! See you again in Jeju on another day
