Fry four to 5 minutes in medium heat. [Music] Remove and set aside. Fry the rest in next batch. [Music] Let it rest for 10 minutes. [Music] Heat oil again. [Music] Draw fried chicken. [Music] Fry 2 minutes on high heat. [Music] Fry till brown and crispy. [Music] Remove and set aside. Korean chili paste. Gochu jang 2 tablespoon. [Music] Light soy sauce. Half tablespoon. Two tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 teaspoon mustard. [Music] 2 tbsp brown sugar. 2 tbsp honey. Mix the sauce. [Music] One tablespoon sesame oil. One teaspoon minced garlic. Four dried red chili cut and deseeded. Stir fry 15 seconds on high heat. Add the sauce made earlier. Add 50 ml water. Cook 1 minute on high heat. [Music] Add fried chicken. Welcome back to Rena’s Kitchenary! Today, we’re making ultra-crispy, juicy Korean Fried Chicken (Yangnyeom Chicken) that’s perfectly coated in a mouthwatering sweet, spicy, and sticky Yangnyeom sauce. 🤤 Whether you’re a K-Drama fan or a foodie at heart, this easy Korean fried chicken recipe is going to blow your taste buds away!

🛒 INGREDIENTS:
Chicken:
450g Boneless Chicken Thighs (cut into 3” chunks)
For Marination:
3/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Crushed Pepper
1 tsp Grated Garlic
1 tsp Grated Ginger
For Coating:
1/2 cup Potato Starch (or Cornstarch)
Yangnyeom Sauce:
2 tbsp Gochujang (Korean Chili Paste)
1 tsp Mustard Paste
1.5 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
2 tsp Rice Vinegar
Other Ingredients:
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Minced Garlic
4–5 Red Chillies (cut & deseeded)
1–2 tsp White Sesame Seeds
👩🍳 STEP-BY-STEP COOKING PROCESS:
1. Prep the Chicken:
Cut chicken into 3-inch chunks. Marinate with salt, crushed pepper, grated garlic, and ginger. Let it rest for 15 mins.
2. Coat the Chicken:
Add potato starch and coat evenly. Let sit while heating the oil.
3. First Fry:
Fry chicken in medium-hot oil for 4–5 mins until lightly golden. Remove and let rest for 10 mins.
4. Second Fry (Double Fry):
Re-fry on high heat for 2 mins until golden brown and ultra-crispy. Set aside.
5. Make the Sauce:
Heat sesame oil. Sauté minced garlic & red chilies for 15 secs. Add sauce mix + 50 ml water, cook for 1 min.
6. Combine:
Add fried chicken into the sauce, stir on high heat for 1–2 mins until coated well. Sprinkle sesame seeds and stir-fry for another 30 secs.
7. Serve & Enjoy!
Garnish with more sesame seeds and serve hot!
📌 TIPS:
✅ Use potato starch for extra crispiness.
✅ Double frying makes the chicken super crunchy.
✅ Adjust spice level by reducing gochujang or chilies.
