Hi all, Welcome to Spicy Tiffin Today we are going to prepare Bitter gourd or Kaipakka or Pavakka curry in a traditional Indian pot This recipe is for those who would like to try but hate the bitter taste of bitter gourd Please check out the ingredients used Heat oil in the pot When the oil is hot add mustard seeds.
Let it splutter. Keep the pot closed if you don’t want a mess after the spluttering Now add thinly sliced bitter gourd pieces to oil Add minced onion and salt Fry until the bitter gourd is soft and onion changes to transparent The process is bit long. Keep stirring otherwise it can burn. Always keep flame between low and medium Now add chilli powder and turmeric powder Stir fry for few minutes or until the raw smell goes off Add chopped tomatoes and combine everything all together Now add thin coconut milk. I bought thick coconut milk from store and mixed with water to make it thin or light coconut milk Combine well. Close the pot with lid and cook for 5 to 8 minutes Its almost cooked. Now add thick coconut milk and cook for 2 to 3 minutes in medium heat Check for salt Add required amount of water to adjust the consistency Combine all together Finally add some coconut oil. ゴーヤ:1本(大サイズ)
たまねぎ:1個(中サイズ)
トマト:1個 (大サイズ)
ココナッツミルク(薄め) : 1 コップ
ココナッツミルク (濃め): 3/4 コップ
水
ターメリック: 小さじ1/2
チリパウダー:小さじ3/4
マスタードシード : 小さじ1/2
塩:適量
サラダ油
薄めのココナッツミルク(水:800ml +ココナツミルク:200 ml )を加える
