Vietnamese Fast Food Tour in Da Nang, Vietnam ft. DURIAN PIZZA – Eating the WORLD’S SMELLIEST PIZZA!

I don’t hate it, but it’s definitely…. Ooh… Mmm. We have a ramen burger here. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Ooh… Look at that. Mmm. That is smoking. Ooh! You can already smell… It smells… Hot… Pretty pungent. Hot durian coming off this pizza. What’s up everyone? I’m Chris. We got Steph behind the camera,
and today we’re going on a fast food
food tour here in Da Nang, Vietnam. Throughout the country, there’s quite
a few international fast food chains. So today we’re going to try
some of the most famous ones, and see if any of the menu items
have a unique Vietnamese twist. Stay tuned for the grand finale
because we’re ending this video with the most outrageous pizza
you have ever seen. Let’s get eating! Come on. All right. First stop on our fast food
food tour is at Lotteria. Now, this is a South Korean fast food
chain that specializes in burgers, chicken, all sorts of things. It’s kind of like a Korean McDonald’s. So, let’s head inside
and see if we can find something special on different on the menu. Hello. Thank you. So here at Lotteria, they do everything, like I was saying,
from hamburgers and fried chicken, to spaghetti, plates of rice and chicken,
all sorts of things. But we saw an advertisement
for something brand new on their menu that we’ve never tried
before at any fast food joint. So I think that’s what we’re going
to get. Hello. Thank you. Alright, let’s take a seat. Alright, first food of the day. We have a burger here at Lotteria. But, this isn’t just
your typical hamburger. This is something so much more. Look at this. We have a ramen burger here. Wow. So, instead of your typical bread bun,
we have, it looks like ramen. Like, instant ramen. So cool. It is actually piping hot on the inside. Ooh, we got some, smells like. Ooh, like a spicy sour sauce. It is steaming. I don’t know if you can see that, but the ramen bun here is steaming still. For the patty, we have a shrimp patty here. Look at that. Sauced up as well. It’s pretty thick as well,
but I think the really cool thing here is this steaming hot ramen bun. It is actually soft. So, I thought it was going to be like
a crispy bun, like a fried ramen bun,
but it’s actually soft. So I’m interested
to see what this tastes like. Okay. We’ve never
had a ramen burger before, so… Let’s take a bite of it. This just looks so cool
and different as well. Okay, here we go. Mmm. That tastes… like a ramen. First thing you get is like, that flavour
of, like, an instant ramen noodle. That’s so cool. Huge flavour of the ramen bun. And you can just see how dense
the ramen is in there. And it’s like, jam packed. It’s like they took a raw
instant noodle circle, and just boiled it,
and somehow it didn’t break apart, but. Oh, man, that is so tasty. And that shrimp patty,
actually has a nice flavour of shrimp. You can see you there. It’s almost like, cut out pieces,
but there is chunks of… Mmm, chunks of actual shrimp
in there, too. It’s pretty juicy. Sauce is a nice spicy sour sauce. Bit sweet as well. I think the star is definitely
in that ramen bun though. Mmm. Looks hard to eat! It’s pretty delicate and soft because
the bun is actually very, very soft. Like, you can see there. The noodles, like,
don’t even string at all. Look at that. Mmm. Overall,
I love the texture of this ramen burger. Between the soft ramen bun,
and that crispy shrimp patty, which actually has
a lot of shrimp flavour, not too fishy, but just has like, a creamy shrimp flavour. This is a burger I would definitely buy
again, and I would think, I would take a ramen bun over a normal bread bun,
any day of the week. Mmm. Yeah. That is a noodle bun. Mmm. So cool, I love this. Mmm. Yeah. Ramen burger…. Such a big win, ooh. Next up is at the classic KFC
to see what the Colonel’s cooking up. Thank you. Thank you. Here at KFC,
obviously you have your most classic KFC foods like fried chicken,
all different kinds. We’ve also got your typical burgers. They also do pasta here,
which is pretty different, but it’s quite common in Asia,
something we’ve had before. So that’s not
what we’re going for today. But, what they do have is actually
roast chicken here at KFC. We’ve never seen roast
chicken at a KFC before, So, we definitely need
to get a little combo. And again, you always get rice
with a lot of combos in Asia, which is a little bit different. So, let’s get one of those. And, we actually saw some very different unique desserts that we’ve never had
or seen at a KFC before. So we’re going to get a few of those to finish off
our meal with a little sweet. Okay, I’m pretty excited for this. Order number three. Okay, we have got our little KFC feast
here, and I’d have to say, for fast food, it took a fair few minutes to get here, which I think is a good sign that they,
I guess like, legitimately cooked it. But, look at this roast chicken here. So it’s actually
in a little tin foil pocket. I’m actually super interested to try this because, again, when
do you ever see roast chicken at a KFC? It’s always just fried chicken. Okay.
We also have our little desserts here. They have egg custard tarts here at KFC. Never seen that before. It actually looks really tasty. Ooh, smells super buttery,
actually really crispy, but, what I actually want to start with
are these golden lava taro balls. Look at these guys. So, I have a feeling these are hopefully
going to be gooey inside. So that is what I want to start with. Ooh, okay. Let’s open this guy up. Oh, it’s actually, like, super sticky. Oh, look at that. Fairly decently… Oh, yeah. That is decently packed
with that lava in there, ooh. I really hope
this is like a salted egg custard. Ooh… look at that. So gooey! All right. Let’s do this. Salted egg custard? That is salted egg custard. Oh, that’s actually, honestly so good. The salted egg custard, okay,
sounds like something weird, but it’s like a sweet, slightly salty,
very creamy custard on the inside there. And the taro itself
actually has, almost like a little bit of chewiness to it,
but the crispiness of the outside and the fact that it’s just deep
fried there. And I mean, look at the colour of that,
with the yellow and the purple. Mmm. This is the perfect dessert. And like, good way to start our meal. I feel like you know,
dessert, meal, dessert. That’s a good bookend. So, moving on from our dessert
to our main dish here. So, our roasted chicken
came as a combo with rice. We’ve got a few veggies,
as well as a Pepsi on the side. But, I just want to dig in and open this
little present of roast chicken here. So come on, let’s do this. Alright, let’s unwrap
this little chicken present here. Ooh, it smells so good! Oh, wow! Oh, that is so juicy. Look at that. Oh, my gosh. Look at all those oils in there. Wow, that looks super good.
Smells really good. And we got a black pepper chicken, ooh. This looks really tasty. Okay. What I want to do,
is take this chicken off. Ooh, look at this… ooh. Piping hot. So juicy. I want to get
all this juice onto this rice. Ooh, look at the colour of that chicken
juice there. Ooh, that’s going to make the rice
so much better. This looks so tasty and juicy. Mmm. That is so good. That is insanely tender and juicy,
and it’s a nice piece of dark meat, too. So it’s even more tender
than a white piece. But, the skin super tasty. You can see there. The marinade
that is roasted in very, very flavourful. It has a little hint of that
black pepper that we got with ours, but. Mmm. I can’t get over… How juicy and succulent that is. For a fast food chicken. That is honestly, actually insane. Mmm. I got to say,
this chicken is actually piping hot, too, which is a nice change for some fast
food restaurants. It’s not always hot like that, but. Okay. Let’s get a taste of this rice
that we just doused in that chicken oil. Okay, this looks good now. Mmm. Mmm. Ooh, that rice… Cooked quite well. And that chicken oil on top adds a nice
savoury, chickeny, oily flavour. Ooh this is… super tasty. I have to say, I’m actually pleasantly
surprised at how good this is. I know
KFC is known for their fried chicken, but this roast chicken is super good. I think more KFC’s need
to be adding this to their menu. Mmm. This would be a hit worldwide. They’re really losing out here. Can’t forget our nice little side
of fresh veggies to go with everything there, for an ultimate bite. Mmm, mmm hmm. That’s healthier now, mmm hmm. Last up, we have our fairly unique KFC menu item… Egg Tart. Look at this guy. It actually looks super buttery
and crispy, and was piping hot when it came out,
so it’s actually still warm right now. This looks really good. Ooh! Mmm. Ooh. That was so creamy and sweet.
Mmm. So that’s actually really good.
In terms of egg tarts, I’ve had a fair few in my day,
and this is super tasty. It’s more like a Portuguese egg tart
because you can see… It’s super flaky on the outside there. And the egg custard is honestly so sweet
and creamy, and actually quite soft. Like, look at that. There’s almost like… I don’t know, not a jellyness to it. It’s just super soft and gooey, and… As far as egg tarts go,
this one is so buttery and creamy, and I’d have to say, potentially one of
the best ones I’ve actually ever had. That’s saying something. Mmm. Well done KFC! Well done KFC indeed. Mmm. Between the roast chicken
and these desserts. KFC, you have done me proud today.
Mmm. Ooh… And look at that. Still gooey, after all this time. Oh… man! Now that… is an ultimate dessert. This is going to be a tough one
to beat today. Moving along on our fast food
journey today, you cannot go on a fast food
food tour without visiting the golden arches. So, let’s see what they got to offer. Okay, so here at the McDonald’s in Vietnam, honestly,
a lot of the items are just your regular McDonald’s items, like the burgers,
you got your Big Mac, you got your McRoyal Deluxe. You got a hamburger, cheeseburger,
McChicken burger. I think what’s different
and what’s very unique, and what’s popular, from what we can see
around, is their fried chicken. And we’ve had fried chicken
at McDonald’s before, and it has been pretty darn good fried chicken. So, I think we’re going to go with
some of the fried chicken here, as well as a very special nugget, McNugget,
because that’s my personal favourite. So, let’s get some of those. All right. Table number… one. Alright, something different at this McDonald’s
here in Vietnam is that the ketchup area,
which usually just has ketchup, has mayo, ketchup, chili,
and a garlic chili dipping sauce. So… I think we’re going to need
to get a few of these sauces. Garlic chili sauce… Oh, man, that’s a lot of sauce. That’s a lot of sauce. Ooh, that is super garlicky. Here we have our delicious
looking McDonald’s fried chicken. Now, I must say, before we get started on this,
that the prices here at McDonald’s are actually a little bit higher than other fast food restaurants
that we’ve been to today. But, in saying that, look at the size
of these pieces of fried chicken. It is pretty big. So these are their special new fried
chicken sauces. Yeah, flavours. This one is Daebak Chicken. And we got it spicy. And you can just see there. It’s got a nice red, like, chili spicy
sauce on it along with like, little crunchy flecks
of something. It smells really tasty, like a… It does actually. Almost like a sweet barbecue sauce. Interesting. And mine, here I have got a Korean barbecue and cheese sauce,
and just look at that. It is covered in that sauce. That cheese sauce looks good. I am definitely more excited
for the cheese sauce, I have to say. And we have a little package of
‘Happy Chicken’ here. Yeah, our happy chicken nuggets. So, let’s try the fried chicken first. Cheers. Chicken cheers. Mmm. Nice and crispy. Ooh, that’s super crispy actually, mmm. That’s… Crispy juicy fried chicken. Oh, yeah. Mmm. I’d have to say,
mine is extremely saucy. I’m not sure if I love it or hate it actually,
because it’s almost too saucy. But,, it’s a decent flavour though. It’s not too bad, it’s not too bad. The chicken itself is super crunchy
and crispy, which is nice. The Daebak sauce is actually really,
really spicy. I like these little flecks of… I don’t even know what they, look like…. And then they taste like… Little crushed up chips or something,
but they’re sweet. So, it adds to the spiciness of that,
almost spicy barbecue sauce. You can see, the chicken is just, again, ultra crispy
and still juicy and tender. You can see it glistening there. Mmm. McDonald’s fried chicken. Never disappoints, I find. I have to say, the fast food chains in Asia, always do a good fried chicken. Mmm hmm. Which is really good and interesting because you actually never really get
fried chicken at fast food chains like, in North America
and stuff like that. So, it’s a nice change, and it’s nice
that it’s actually… Unless it’s like… Good. KFC. That’s true. Okay, have a bite. I’m starting to sweat. That’s how spicy this Daebak sauce is. Right? Instantly I love that cheese sauce. Ooh, that’s got a kick to it actually. It is spicier. That’s spicy, mmm. It builds. I’d say, out of the two… I have to go with that
barbecue and cheese sauce. Yeah? I don’t know,
I think I like this one better actually. Yeah? Yeah. Well, here you go. Here I go. There’s something about this like, fake nacho cheesy yellow sauce that actually works
well with fried chicken. Gotta watch out for those crumbs
on top of you coughing. You coughing there because it’s spicy now? I think I inhaled the crumbs. I have to say this one is decently
spicy. Like,
just after a few bites, I’m sweating. I told you it was spicy. Okay, let’s move on to our
Happy Chicken Bites, aka happy chicken nuggets. Now, McDonald’s number one thing for me,
always the McNugget, can’t go wrong. In every country we’ve been to,
they’ve always been… The best thing. So, let’s see what we got here. Those guys are a little different though. Different shapes. Steph, show that one off. Ooh, looks like I got a little heart here. And I’ve got a star. That’s pretty cool. Unfortunately… I was going to say unfortunately,
no like, happy face. Yeah. Chicken nugget,
which was I was hoping for. Yeah. There’s just a bunch of circles
after these two. But… let’s give them a try. They look like they have a bit of a different umm… Batter, than like your typical nugget. Yeah. They don’t look as crispy.
Not gonna lie. Not gonna lie. They don’t look as crispy. So, this was the… Garlic chicken. Garlic chili. I’m going to go classic ketchup for myself. All right. Let’s do it. Cheers. Mmm. Packed with the chicken in there. Like, the taste… Similar to your chicken nugget. I’m not going to lie though. It’s not as crispy, at all. They’re very soft. It doesn’t have, like usually McDonald’s
chicken nuggets, when you bite into it. It has a nice crisp to it. But these guys… not quite as good,
I’d have to say. Doesn’t make the cut, I don’t think. So, here’s another happy bite… That just looks like a circular… Chicken McNugget to me. How’s the sauce here? That’s what makes these nuggets better,
I think. The chili garlic sauce. Nice and spicy, but very, very garlicky. That’s pretty nice. I do like that, mmm hmm. Not very crispy though. I’m very disappointed in that. I’d have to say, yeah, like they’re good. They’re a chicken nugget, but… Not the best. Not the best we’ve had. We did get a… Sweet and sour sauce with this, so. With my last bite. Here you go. Oh, that’s a different shape too,
I think, maybe? I think it’s just like a… This one’s like a… No, that’s just the regular nugget
looking shape. Yeah, it’s almost like a hexagon, maybe. I’m going to go
for an ultimate little bite here with our sauces, and… Mayo? Normally
I don’t like mayo dipping anything, but, I’m going to do it just cause. Let’s just give it a try. Why not, you got it.
So, mine as well. Mmm. Thoughts? Sweet and sour sauce is nice. That garlic chili sauce though… Is by far
the best sauce that you can get here. No smiley face nugget. Not very crispy. Not that goo,d to be honest. Pizza Hut is the next stop on our fast food
food tour. Now, we want to come here specifically
because they have something on the menu that is special here in Vietnam,
and it is called a Lava Pizza. Yeah, I hope you are just as excited
as we are about this. We have got our Pizza Hut Lava Pizza. The lava pizza comes in two different
sizes, regular and large. So, we got the regular nine inch pizza. Now,
this bad boy is two different pizzas. So we’ve got cheesy chicken on one side,
and supreme lovers on the other side. And in the centre is literally a volcano of lava. Look at that. Melted cheese. Like cheddar cheese
in the middle to dip our pizza in. Oh, man, this is… This smells so cheesy
from that volcano in the middle. Oh, man. So hot, fresh. So excited. I have to say, of all
the fast food pizzas, Pizza Hut is kind of my favourite. You do love your Pizza Hut. And this is not a normal pan pizza
that Pizza Hut does. Yeah. But, alright, let’s a… Go for it? Ooh. Oh, yeah. Look at that. And the volcano
just stays in the middle. S, the cheesy chicken. You can see the chicken pieces there. It has onions, I believe, as well. Oh, yours looks meaty. Pepperoni, bacon, sausage. Covered in meat. Okay. Like, how do you even…
Okay, you go for it. Oh! Is it like…? It’s actually like, super, super gooey. Wow. Look at that. Steaming as well. It’s so hot in the centre,
and it actually does look like lava. Okay. That is interesting. Should we do this, should we do this? Pizza cheers. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. That’s cheesy chicken! There’s… a lot of cheese. In this pizza. Mmm. That lava cheese is really tasty. It’s kind of like a cheddary… Like a nacho cheese almost, yeah. It’s interesting. It’s quite different with a pizza. Like, you don’t usually have
something like that with a pizza. But… It’s so hot though. Like, you can just see,
it just steaming there. Holy moly. I really takes it to…. Another rich level. I would have to say. Mega cheesy level. Especially for the crust. Mmm. Let’s give that a try. That’s good. The cheesy chicken. The chicken is nice and tender. Ooh, and there’s mushrooms
in this pizza too, with the onion. Good toppings for half of this pizza. Okay, I have to say, the meat lovers. Super tasty. We’ve got pepperoni. There is bacon. I think maybe bits of ham,
as well as ground beef. I’d have to say, as well. Meat lovers. Definitely my favourite. Mmm hmm. You gotta try the chicken though. This one is super good, okay. Let’s do it. Okay, I want to try this chicken cheese here. Ooh, look at that. Oh, my gosh. Oh, the lava cheese is underneath. Okay. Give her a huge dunk. A dunk in here. Just look… how much cheese is in there. Ooh wee! Oh! So creamy. I’m going to grab some meat. So cheesy. Yeah. I want to try this cheesy chicken here. Go for it. Oh, man. So creamy. That volcano. That’s super cheesy creamy. Really unique idea. For a pizza. Never seen a little mini volcano in the middle of a pizza
like this before. No. That Meat lovers is, like, ultra meaty. I love the bacon,
the sausage, the pepperoni. Oh, man. This one’s decent. I feel like there’s almost like a sweet sauce. What makes this pizza… Definitely the cheesy volcano centre. I like this. This is like a fun little addition. I do like how at the end of your pizza,
you’re left with this kind of cheesy, bready
ring in the centre. Volcano middle. Yeah, it’s kind of like having, like, a garlic cheese
bread or something at the end. I think we’re going to have to… Yeah, let’s do this. Have a volcano, bite here. Oh, look at that. It’s like straight up… Pizza dough volcano… Centre. There you go. Oh, my gosh. It’s still, like, piping hot in my hand
in the middle there. Mmm. The dough is actually like… Super soft and fairly mushy,
but so cheesy. That’s actually really good. Look at that cheese. Ooh. That might be the best piece,
on the entire pizza. Mmm. Overall, I think… Pizza Hut lava pizza, is pretty good. Pretty happy. Definitely happy with this pizza. Very unique. Very yummy. Looky, looky here. We have another classic fast food joint. Popeyes famous Louisiana Chicken. So, I think we’re going to have to go in,
and maybe try some chicken. Or maybe they have something else
on the menu. So, here at the Popeyes in Vietnam,
they have the classic Popeyes fried chicken, as well as the spiced chicken,
burgers, fries, spaghetti again, which is that signature Southeast
Asian staple in fast food restaurants. And, we saw a chicken sauce that we want
to get with a piece of fried chicken. So, we’re gonna get that. I saw a special type of donut here. And Steph loves donuts,
so I think we need to get her one of these donuts,
as well as another little snack that’s super special. You can’t come to Popeyes
and not try their fried chicken. So, what we have
here is their fish sauce fried chicken. Now, here in Vietnam, fish
sauce is so popular. You get it with pretty much every dish,
Vietnamese dish here in the country. Yeah.
So, this one is the fish sauce. And, just look at the size of this piece
of fried chicken here. So saucy. Glistening. That side doesn’t look
like there’s sauce on it at all, actually. Which is kind of weird that they didn’t
just dunk the whole thing in it, but. We also have some nuggets here. But, not just your regular chicken nuggets. These are fish nuggets. They look pretty good. Yeah.
Little fish bites, and… What kind of special donut
do you have there Steph? So, I have a shrimp donut. So, it’s not your typical donut whatsoever. But, it actually looks… It smells actually almost, umm…. kind of coconutty. Oh, yeah. Maybe it’s the batter, because it does
look a bit crispy like coconut. Okay, I’m gonna dig in to this fish
sauce chicken here. Okay, I’m gonna go straight for my donut. Well, cheers. Mmm. It’s hot! Mmm. This chicken is so juicy. Wow.
That’s actually insanely juicy in there. Look at that. And again,
it’s such a big piece of chicken there, ooh. It is actually really,
really tender and juicy. That sauce too, taste like… Oh, so hot. That ‘Nước Chấm’, that like chili fish sauce that is, that we were talking about,
that is super popular here in Vietnam. Give a try of that. Mmm. Oh, that’s nice. Right? It’s a little bit spicy,
but more like, actually, fishy. Mmm hmm. Like a sweet and sour almost,
is the type of flavour that it is. Mmm hmm. How’s your shrimp donut? I have to say,
this is actually really good. It just reminds me of like a battered
coconut shrimp, almost in a way. Like, the shrimp on the inside. You can see… Look at that.
First of all, it’s super crispy. And just look at that there. Just jam packed with that shrimp. And it’s like, chopped up
pieces of shrimp, actually. Get a bite of this. It’s really good. The batter is a little thick,
but, not overly so. Yeah, it’s hot.
It’s crispy on the outside. And it does have a bit of a coconut
flavour to it. It does remind me of, coconut shrimp. Yeah. It’s actually quite good. That’s an interesting donut. Definitely a savoury donut. Not your typical diet, that’s for sure. No, but… Different items. Again, here in Vietnam. Fish nugget? Fish nugget. Fish nugget sir. Okay, we’ve got some ketchup,
but I want to try it on its own first. I’m going to go ketchup. Mmm. Pretty jam packed. Little crispy nugget there. Look at that. It’s like oily on the inside. It’s actually really nice.
Oh, yeah! It’s juicy. You got those fatty fish oils. It’s crispy. It’s hot. Get a little ketchup on there. I’d say that’s actually quite good,
for like, a little fish nugget. Mmm. It’s like a fish stick, but… The batter is very thin, and light. Not too much batter. Nice and crispy. Meaty fish. Overall, that’s a tasty little nugget. I will say those fish nuggets, are better than those happy nuggets
that we had at McDonald’s earlier today. I have to agree with you on that. Like, quite a bit better, mmm hmm. I have to say,
these items here at Popeyes. Really flavourful. Mmm hmm. Yeah.
I really like this fish sauce chicken. It’s sweet,
sour, salty, and a little spicy. Just like that signature Vietnamese
fish sauce flavour, ooh. It’s really unique. I think I like the seafood options actually better than the chicken
in this case. This little shrimp donut and the fish nuggets,
I think we’re actually pretty good. Really tasty. I’d have to agree with you
that the fish nugget might be my favourite thing here. It was good. This is a fried chicken and seafood
win here at Popeyes. I’d have to agree with you on that one. Really good. That’s still piping hot. Mmm hmm. Wow. Right across the street from Popeyes
is Jollibee. Now, this is a really popular fast food
restaurant from the Philippines. They do fried chicken,
few different kinds of things. We are going to see
what kind of interesting things they’ve got on the menu. Looks like we’re going in over here. Here at Jollibee, their number one best seller
is for sure their fried chicken. Now, unfortunately,
there wasn’t anything like specifically Vietnamese
on the menu. Nothing that you couldn’t find
that other Jollibee’s around the world. Yes, exactly. But, we have been mentioning
at a lot of the fast food places today, that they sell spaghetti,
which that in and of itself is quite different than you find at fast
food restaurants like in North America and around the world. Definitely a staple with the fast
food restaurants in Southeast Asia. So, we had to get it,
especially here at Jollibee. Why Chris? At the original place
that started this whole fast food spaghetti fad, which is here
at Jollibee, their Jolly Spaghetti. And you can see here,
it is a nice spaghetti with a ground beef sauce,
which is made with banana ketchup. So, it’s really sweet. As well as it has like,
some hot dog wieners in there as well. So, that looks pretty… Yeah,
a little bit of cheese on top as well. We’ve had this in the Philippines. I must say.
So we’ll see how this compares to the home stuff
back in the Philippines. Yes. But, what we did get as well to go
with it… Which is actually special. And you don’t find this in North America
or around the world. Agreed. Is another shrimp burger. So the one we had
this morning was a shrimp ramen burger. This is just like your classic shrimp
burger. And again, this is very different. Like, you don’t get a lot of shrimp
burgers around the world. And just look at that. Got a nice fried patty,
some sauce. Oh, it’s steaming! We’ve got… Mustard, I think in there? I don’t know,
as well as some lettuce on the bottom. Yeah that’s mustard. Yeah. You can see that Like, in Asia they definitely focus
a bit more on seafood type stuff, like with the shrimp. Shrimp burgers are really popular
and everywhere. Yeah. And I’m, I’m like down for it. They’re nice because they’re
crispy and, yeah. And shrimp is so tasty. And, what else? Little hot dessert here,
which will unveil later. But, this is the classic, again,
another signature Jollibee item, the Peach Mango Pie. I’m looking forward to that. Yeah.
Okay, I’m going to try this spaghetti here. Yeah, should we go for this? Yeah, alright. Go for your burger. So this spaghetti… Look at that. It’s actually,
the sauce is like not too wet. It’s kind of like a dry pasta. Let’s get an ultimate bite here
with the hot dog wieners, sauce. Let’s go for, like, a massive bite. Okay, I have to say, this shrimp burger, it’s pretty decent. You can see there, the bun. It’s pretty fluffy. There’s a decent amount of shrimp
in that patty there. The sauce. I can’t really taste it too much yet. It’s yellow!
Is it mustard, or no? Honestly,
I can’t really taste it yet, too much. I’m going to get a bigger bite
on the side here. But, the shrimp patty itself,
nice and crispy. Very shrimpy. Overall, decent shrimp burger. Yeah, I’m pretty happy. The spaghetti. You can see, again. It’s nice and dry actually, if you’re
a fan of just kind of like, a dry pasta, the sauce just sticks
to the pasta there. But, the sauce is definitely strange
and interesting for a spaghetti sauce because it is sweet. It has a very, very sweet flavour. Those little hot dog wieners are nice as well. It adds that protein, and you can’t really
taste the cheese. Overall… That’s fair, mmm hmm. This is like the Jollibee spaghetti
in the Philippines. The taste is almost on par. Exactly the same. Pretty comparable? It is an acquired taste
to be having sweet spaghetti. Yeah it is, it is. It’s
definitely an acquired Filipino taste, the Jollibee spaghetti, I’d have to say. I don’t hate it, but it’s
definitely not my favourite menu item. You don’t love it. At a fast food restaurant. That’s fair. Hmm. The sauce on this guy. It’s like a sweet mustard. I think you’re really gonna like this. Yeah? Mmm hmm. Okay. Try the pasta. You know what? On second taste, I don’t mind it. Alright, let’s do this. Oh, yeah, that shrimp burger
is actually a lot softer. That patty. It brings me back. It brings me back to the Philippines. Honestly, it’s like you said, it’s not bad. It’s just different. It’s not something I think I would
really go out of my way to order. As like, a one off,
is definitely not bad, but… It’s… something, let’s just call it that. I will say what I was just saying. The shrimp patty is a lot softer
than the one we had today at Lotteria. A little thinner, too. Yeah, a little thinner. Not as much shrimp. And honestly,
too bready. I really liked that ramen burger this morning. I don’t think you can compare
with the ramen burger, to be honest with you. That was something special in itself. I’m going to take the spaghetti back. Yeah, you can have it. Just going to grab myself an ultimate bite here. I think I’m just about ready
for some dessert. Or what we like to call:
‘Joy served daily’. Oh, you don’t want an ultimate bite? Looks like a sloppy Joe. Mmm. And? Surprisingly, it makes both items taste better. All right. Well, you know what? Let’s finish it off, yeah. With our little baby looking pie here. Our peach mango pie. Oh, that’s crispy. Look at that. Wow! That is smoking, ooh! Ooh… Wow. That looks good. Here, have that nice, gooey,
gooey piece. It’s like, buttery and sweet
at the same time. Smells fairly buttery. Okay. Here we go. And crispy. Mmm. Mmm. That’s piping hot still, actually. Yeah. This… is always
the best item at Jollibee. I’d have to say,
I think this tops everything right now. This for sure is the best thing. No matter where you go in the world. Jollibee. Peach Mango Pie. The best. It’s flaky, it’s buttery. It’s crunchy. And the peach mango inside. So sweet. So sweet, but… Just goes with everything. Mmm, mmm hmm. That’s a topper That’s how you have to finish your meal
at Jollibee for sure, mmm hmm. We have reached the grand finale
of our fast food food tour here in Vietnam,
and we are ending it all off here at The Pizza Company, which is a pizza
chain that originated in Thailand. So, we are here to try…. Drumroll please… A durian pizza! This is going to be… I don’t even know what. Let’s go have a taste. Our final fast food of the day. Here is our durian pizza. Now, here at The Pizza Company, they have like, an advertisement
on every table for their durian pizza. So, they have one that is durian
and popcorn chicken on top with a, like a durian jam. Durian sauce jam. Whereas this one is just straight durian and cheese. So, there’s supposed to be durian
pieces cooked into the pizza. So, whether you are a lover or a hater
of durian, we personally love it. Yeah. And you can just imagine. You can already smell…. It smells hot. Pretty pungent. Hot durian coming off this pizza. Just hot cheesy durian. Never really had durian
like, cooked into anything. Like, I’ve had durian candy, durian ice
cream, but never like, hot cooked durian. I’m pretty excited
because like I said, we do love durian. So… Alright,
let’s give this a try. Again, it is pungent smelling, and it is hot. We got the thin crust and… Ooh… cheesy, look at that. All right. Look at that. Nice cheese on top. Very, very thin. Yeah, that’s a nice thin crust. Alright. Ooh, well, as the El Presidente says,
“One bite, everybody knows the rules”. Let’s do it. Mmm. Okay. There is durian in that bite. Ooh. Mmm. Wow, there’s actually
so much durian in there. And it has such a creaminess to it. If you’ve ever had during before,
it has that very creamy, yet sometimes almost like fibrous
texture to it. Mmm hmm. That’s so creamy. That has such a strong durian flavour. It like, just tastes like durian,
with like a hint of that stringy mozzarella cheese on top. Yeah, you’re right, really the durian almost completely takes over
the flavour. It overpowers the entire thing. It’s like durian with crispy bread. Mmm. This is pretty, pretty amazing. It’s actually really good.
It’s really good. If you love durian, you’ll love this. If you don’t, you’ll probably hate it. But… You can just, honestly,
it’s hard to really show, but. I think you can just see by like, look… It’s like, it’s just… Look at that. I was going to say, yeah. Comes off on your finger there. If you just open up the cheese there. You can just see inside of it,
all in here is just straight durian. Mmm hmm. Ooh. Okay. I’m, I’m pretty I’m pretty happy. I don’t know about you? I didn’t know what to expect. I think this is beyond my expectation. I thought maybe it’s just going to be a little sprinkling of durian,
maybe some durian jam or sauce. But, there is durian all over
this slice pizza. Even like, flavour wise,
it could have gone either way. And the pizza itself… Works me nice. Nice and thin.
The crust, super crispy and crunchy. It’s pretty good, I must say. I’d say, for a very unique
and different kind of pizza. Again, this is not something
you’re going to find in many places in the world, especially because you can tell
they’re using fresh durian. So, you need to be in a country
where they grow and have, or import fresh durian. So this is definitely a very,
Vietnamese specialty. I have to say. Definitely durian on the pizza. Mmm. I can see the locals loving this one. Mmm hmm. Mmm. This is yummy. I’d have to say,
next to the ramen burger. I think this is the most unique thing
we’ve had all day. Definitely is. Yeah. And up there,
I feel like, with one of the most tastiest. Yes, yes. Yes, definitely. Okay. Big question… Score? True rules? True rules. I think I give this like an 8.8. Mmm. Yeah. Yeah, I think I would. I was going to say 8.9. Ah, there you go. There you go. Crispy, nice crusy. Cheesy. The durian just takes it, up there. Packed with durian, mmm hmm. This is a good pizza. If you’re in Vietnam, definitely visit The Pizza Company
to try the durian pizza. Totally worth it. If you’re a durian lover. And even if you’re not a durian lover Give it a try,
because maybe like durian afterwards. Mmm. Might change your mind, you know? Mmm hmm.
You never know. It’s so creamy. It’s like, just got that pungent, creamy… Almost like savoury taste to it. It’s so good. Really, really good. Mmm. That’s it for our fast food food tour. Thank you all so much for watching. It’s really nice today

super Vietnamese on the menus. Yeah, you’re right. But, a lot of them were Southeast
Asian inspired. So, pretty decent selection. It was different enough, I feel like. Yeah. Favourite? I think I’m gonna have to go
with the durian pizza. That was just so different,
and honestly so tasty, I loved it. I have to go on
the other end of the spectrum and go to our first meal, that ramen burger

We started our insane Vietnamese fast food tour in Vietnam at Lotteria for a very different kind of burger. Next up was KFC for chicken, of course, as well as some new desserts that completely blew us away. We couldn’t go on a Vietnamese fast food tour without seeing what Pizza Hut had in store.

We continued on our fast food tour in Vietnam visiting Popeye’s, McDonald’s, and Jollibee. From burgers, to chicken and seafood, the fast food chains in Vietnam are really quite creative. Our last stop was the biggest of them all, where we ate the world’s smelliest pizza, a durian pizza. Whether you love durian or not, this was one pungent durian pizza, definitely the world’s smelliest pizza, but also one of the tastiest!
