What We Eat in a Week | Japanese Van Life Family Traveling in the US

Oh my God, I found some chicken gizzards! “Gizzards! Gizzards!” She’s doing the chicken gizzards dance. Should we freeze the chicken too? “Gizzards! Gizzards!” What? I thought it was beef tendon.
It just says “beef,” but should we buy it? What are you guys trying to buy? She wants to eat taiyaki ice cream
with red bean paste. Let’s go home. It was $140. 20,000 yen… That’s expensive. Today, I found frozen sliced beef
at the Asian market, so I’m going to make sukiyaki with it! Who’s excited for sukiyaki? “Yay!” As expected from an Asian market,
I think this is probably beef tendon. It just says “beef,” though. But this is beef tendon, right? Beef tendon,
I’ll make this into beef tendon curry. And then there’s Sutan’s favorite, gizzards. “I really, really, really, really, really, really love it!” “Can I do it?” We’re not doing it now. I’ll put it in the refrigerator. I want to put the meat in as it is,
but RV will be shaking, right? Then the juices will come out. Either way this meat is… Should we start with the frozen food? Sutan, what did you buy? “Ice cream!” Oh you bought this. Want to eat this now? Ask Daddy if we can eat it. “Dad, can I have one ice cream?” Oh, it looks delicious! It looks delicious! Look, “Hello, I’m a fish.” This is taiyaki ice cream. “Mmm, delicious!” It’s so sweet! I want some matcha tea! Moto and I wanted to eat this Nagasaki Castella. Tofu! This is soft and extra firm. I’ll put the soft one in salad
or miso soup next time. I’ll put the firm one in sukiyaki tonight. Natto! Furikake. This is for Sutan. Japanese Mayo and rice. This is fruit. What is it? “Black grapes!” Short banana, I hope it’s delicious. Every time I try a new banana,
some are delicious and some aren’t. You bought peaches?
Can you eat all of these? “There were different kinds.” Peaches! Next, vegetables. Today we’re having sukiyaki,
so I thought some green onions would be good. Chinese cabbage. If we buy a Chinese cabbage
in Whole Foods, it costs at least $5, but it was at an Asian Market,
so this one is small, but it was $1.90. Asian food is best found in Asian stores. Bok choy. I can’t believe they have Shungiku in the US! Yay! Tonhoubatan I’ve never heard of that name before. I took a photo with ChatGPT and asked it, and it answered,
“This is definitely Shungiku.” So I’m going to use it in sukiyaki. Shiitake mushrooms, this much for 4 dollars?
Isn’t that cheaper than in Japan? If it’s 4 dollars, that’s about 600 yen.
It might cost that much. The garlic chives needed
for the chicken gizzard from earlier. Hey, Sutan, really, stop it. “Why did you give it back
even though you said stop?” Because it was cute. The rest is enoki mushrooms,
green onions, green onion, tomatoes. Is that everything? These were left at room temperature, so
I’ll just leave them at room temperature for now. “Sutan’s plate?” For morning miso soup. It’s plastic, but in the RV, so… I thought a plastic one
that won’t break would be good. Also, this is a rice bowl
because there wasn’t one for you. – “It’s cute!”
– It’s so cute, isn’t it? Now we’re going to the RV Park
in Memphis and make dinner! Let’s do another kitchen tour next time! Shall we go? What’s this? Memphis! It’s the Mississippi River! Beautiful! Wow, it’s so beautiful! What’s this sunset? It’s like a Ghibli movie. Like this, they don’t get dirty
and we don’t loose any of them. That’s nice. Thank you, Dad. Where can we eat it? Look, Sutan, this is what
American green onions look like. “I’m coming now.” Really, really! This is American green onion. Oh! Did you show the UMAMI SAUCE? Thank you very much. First, I’m going to grill the green onions,
but can you watch them for me? When they turn brown, roll them over. “OK!” Sutan, wait here. Don’t touch it. Waiting is also work,
so please be patient. Oh, that’s good, that’s good. “This burnt one is the one I did.” Oh, I see. You did it for me. Thank you. “Don’t move it.” Thank you, green onion guardian. – This is how…
– “I do it, so I know it.” Give me a peace sign.
Yes, that’s right. Then pulled it out. That’s right. Dad, do you really want to
try eating it with an egg? Can you put this away too?
In the refrigerator. ”No.” Whether you can do little things like this
is what determines whether you can help out. Tidying things up is also a big help. Thank you, Sutan. “What am I going to help with?” Watch and remember. You are the one to make it next time, okay? Do you know what we’re making? – “Curry, right?”
– No, no. It’s sukiyaki. “I know.” Did you know? “I know.” That’s funny. It’s like a joke. Which part do you think will cook faster,
the leaves or the roots? “This one. Oh, this side.” This side looks like it’ll be ready to eat. So put the part that doesn’t
cook easily on the bottom. It won’t look nice if the green parts overlap,
so put more green next to the yellow. – “What about the shiitake mushrooms?”
– They’ll go on top, so it’s okay. – “How’s it look?”
– More, more. “Don’t cut yourself, are you okay?” – Are you afraid to do it by hand?
– “Yes, I’m afraid!” Don’t copy then. – “Can I try a little?”
– Sure, go ahead. Put the shiitake I didn’t make
a star on at the bottom. “Look.” Oh, that’s nice.
It’s pretty. Look, Dad. Wow, that’s amazing.
The green onions are the best. It’s like Japan. – “Oh my God!”
– Does it look delicious? “Is this a restaurant?” Sutan sounds like how I say it. Umm. It looks delicious! Here you are. Sorry to keep you waiting. It looks delicious. “Please fry the egg.” Okay. – Sutan is the only one who can’t eat it raw.
– We don’t want anything to happen. I don’t think there is anything,
but it would be a hassle if there was. “You’re not going to eat it, are you?” “Oh, my bangs.” “It’s hot, isn’t it?” “What’s this?” “Oh, it must go well with rice!” “Oh my God!” It’s delicious. This is totally Japan. Dad, are you eating a raw egg? So good! “My face is bright red.” We’re in Nashville right now. Starting tomorrow, we’ll be staying at a hotel
for two nights for the first time in a while. – Why a hotel?
– Because the RV park was really expensive. Also, there weren’t many RV parks available. The hotel was almost the same price. We’re staying at a hotel for two nights
and then at a farm for one night. Why the farm?
Because Whole Foods is right nearby. And I want to do the dishes before we leave,
so we’ll stay at the RV Park in Nashville. What’s that? Corn, right? Probably. Sutan, four-day rule starting today. Don’t bother Mom. Make time for Mom. If Mom’s editing goes well,
Dad, Sutan, and every Kimonoko will be happy. Please make time for Mom. So, Dad and Sutan will be together
every day for the next four days. You guys are together the whole time. But Dad has work to do, so when he’s working,
Sutan will watch study videos. And when you’re with Mom, you’ll study a little bit. Home schooling from today. It’s not very pretty, but we stayed at the RV park,
which has a café, in KOA’s RV Park. There aren’t many RV parks with cafés, are there? We had an American breakfast. For lunch, I had natto and miso soup
because I just went to the Asian market yesterday. This is mixed miso. It has UMAMI SAUCE and miso in it. This time, I added chia seeds and quinoa to it. There’s also seaweed and dried seafood in it. Was it Virginia? Where was it again?
They sold really delicious natto there. I don’t think it was made by a Japanese person.
Even the natto made by Americans was really delicious. People who don’t like natto probably
won’t understand, but the taste is quite different. The taste of the beans is different,
and the stickiness is different too. If I put just one in, no one will notice, right? If Sutan finds out, she’ll be angry. In RV’s life, I’m the only one
creating content as Kimono Mom. Moto-san is more in charge of various
interactions on UMAMI SAUCE, so If I, who shoots, edits, and posts content
as Kimono Mom, stop, various problems will arise. Since we started living in the RV,
Sutan has basically been taken care of by Dad. Moto-san drives, takes care of the house, and does
everything for Sutan, and he’s also busy with the UMAMI SAUCE I’m really grateful. The unsung hero. Moto-san doesn’t appear
much in the videos, but he’s really important. He always brings the camera. Super Behind the Scenes. Natto and UMAMI SAUCE.
It’s green onion natto. I’ll serve it as meat tofu. I’ll take this outside. Good? Let’s eat. – “What’s this?”
– It’s chia seeds. It might be a little salty. It’s mixed with miso. It’s salty huh?
Crush it like this and eat it. “Can I try a little?” Wait a minute. I want you to smash it. – “Like this?”
– Yes, I want you to hit it and crush it. Be careful with your fingers. – That’s right.
– “I crushed it.” Once you’ve crushed it like this,
can you tear it into bite-sized pieces? Okay, now please season it. Mix it in well. – “How do I mix it in?”
– Like this. Can you squeeze the water
out of the cucumber? “Can I help too?” Sutan, you’ve been helping
for a while now, so take a break. “It’s okay. I want to help.” Then close this. Thank you.
Put it in the refrigerator. – “I want to do something difficult.”
– I know, but you can’t do step 10 without doing step 1. I’m grilling the gizzards that
I’ve cleaned and washed thoroughly. I’m using avocado oil. I’m also using sesame oil
for the finishing touch, so I’ve put it here. The gizzards smell a little,
so I think I’ll add some beer. It’s starting to bubble up.
Is that okay? – I used it for cooking.
– Thank you. I’ll remove the scum. Today’s miso soup is
with tomatoes and Chinese cabbage. Rice with quinoa. Sutan’s favorite chicken gizzard and leek dish. And peach salad. Thank you so much. Let’s eat. What did I use to season it today? – “This has UMAMI Sauce.”
– Today, I just used salt, lemon, and sesame oil. – “This?”
– This is also simple, just salt and olive oil. – There’s no rice in it.
– “And this?” Just eat it quickly.
Today is a moving day. It’s okay. We didn’t do anything wrong. The police stopped us. Dad is being questioned. Dad didn’t do anything wrong. “I wonder what went wrong.” I wonder too. We got stopped here. Dad’s taking a long time to come back. It’s been about 20 minutes. It’s okay. Because we haven’t done
anything to get caught, right? What are you writing?
Are you writing a letter to Dad? He won’t get caught. He didn’t do anything
that would get him caught. Oh, how was it? – Did you see the dog?
– Yeah! What they said was that a truck cut in. And they said the distance
between the cars was too short. In Japan, I would say that the other driver cut in. But I said that I understood because
the distance between the cars was indeed too short. Then the police officer asked me some questions and said
that it was just a warning and that I wouldn’t get a ticket. He just gave you a warning, so be careful. What, that’s it? The second time they stopped me. I’ll take another look at what this ticket is later. But they told me that several times. There’s nothing to do, it’s just a ticket. We were just stopped. It was just a quick check. “Making a mask!” – Is there a bathtub?
– “Yes, there is.” – “It’s a little cramped, though.”
– Oh my gosh. Yeah! Awesome. “There’s a bathtub.” We’re at the Roadhouse. Is it full? “What’s this? It’s really delicious.” It’s super delicious! It looks delicious! Yeah, this is delicious. It looks really delicious. It’s a bride steak! That’s amazing! But there are quite a lot of fireflies. Why are they here? Wow, amazing! When you say fireflies in Japan, they’re usually only found in places
with small streams, right? Maybe there’s more nature here than in Japan. Thank you. What? What did you make? Wow, that looks delicious! There was one ramen and one yakisoba. Oh, you made it into noodles! Ramen and yakisoba… It’s like takeout. It really is like takeout, isn’t it? It looks delicious! Thank you! Look! It comes with a boiled egg! It’s $60. Really, in America… It’s 60 dollars! If you order three ramen, it’s 60 dollars. – That looks delicious!
– It looks delicious! Thank you, Moto-san! While I was editing the video,
they made ramen for me in the RV. Thank you, let’s eat. Wow, I’ve been wanting to eat this. “This has skin, right?” “You take this off with the shell.” Oh, I see. There was only one serving of ramen. So I use yakisoba instead. I don’t feel at all. “Hey!” Thanks for your hard work. You know, what Sutan is into
right now is swimming, right? Swimming might make Sutan
lose that soft, squishy feel, you know? Around 7 or 8 years old,
they start to get more toned, right? The baby-like softness of
their cheeks disappears, right? And if they get into this kind of exercise,
it’ll be even more so. She’s gonna grow a lot this summer. She’ll get better and better. I don’t do anything when she can’t reach. I’m just close to her. What is she doing? Jumping. Underneath? She jumps underneath, takes a breath,
jumps, takes a breath, jumps, and keeps going like that. That’s amazing! “In a pool this high, like me,
and then do this…” Float? “No, like this, with my toes,
standing like this.” That’s amazing. It’s hot! It’s hot! Did you think you should wear a jacket? I thought I should
because we’re listening to music. Then it’s hot! Wow, Sutan, look! There’s a big guitar! We’re at the OPRY! Nashville! We’re going to a concert hall
that’s been around for 100 years! “What’s up?” You don’t know anything, do you? We’re getting in Publix! I don’t know yet, but it’s probably
the largest number of stores, right? Oh my gosh! It’ll reach the people
who haven’t received it yet, right? That’s right. 94 in Alabama, 870 in Florida, and 220 in Georgia. But it’s on the east side, right? There’s no Tennessee? North Carolina has 58, South Carolina has 70,
and Tennessee has 59. Let’s go there once while we’re on the East Coast. Oh my gosh! But it’s not until September. That’s so fast! Yay! I’m so happy!
Okay, let’s send a thank-you email. Today we are going to stay at SOUTH 40. – “Come over here! One, two, three!”
– What’s that? The rabbit ran away. Sutan ran, so it ran away. Ducks are cute. Thank you very much. Today’s dinner was prepared by Sutan. What did you make? “Fried rice.” Today, Sutan made fried rice! It looks delicious – Isn’t it a waste?
– “It’s a waste…” I understand. “What should we use to cut it?” If it’s this pretty, it’s a shame to cut it. “Oh no, I cut it.” Are you going to serve us dinner? Thanks. “Mom, do you want a big serving?” Yeah, I’ll have a big serving.
Sutan made it for us. “Mommy, eat everything I made!” “The other day when I made fried rice,
I thought you wouldn’t eat much, so I made less,” “But you ate it all!” When you made it, right? Because it was delicious! You seasoned it well. “It’s even more delicious today.” – “I’ll decorate Mommy’s nicely.”
– Thank you. – Why only Mom’s?
– “It’s fine.” “I want Mom to eat it.” “Here you go!” Thank you! – Today’s dinner is…
– “UMAMI!” Today we have fried rice, tofu,
and stir-fried meat that I had frozen and cilantro. – What is this?
– It’s beef jerky. This is meat I marinated for barbecue
the other day, so I dug it out of the freezer. If it looked like I had just cooked it, it would seem a lot tastier. And this is my snack. Mozzarella cheese,
mentaiko, olive oil, and basil. Let’s eat the fried rice that Sutan made! “What’s in it?” – It’s delicious!
– The only thing I can say is that it has UMAMI SAUCE. With sesame oil! Rice, Chinese cabbage, and egg! Thanks for making it. – How many more are there?
– “One!” Oh, I see! Sutan’s love. “The spicy one! The black one!” Oh, black pepper? “Just a little bit.” Wow, the fireflies are amazing! -Thunder!
-The thunder is there, but the fireflies are amazing too! Let’s go to Whole Foods! Bye-bye, ducks! How cute! Good morning. – What are you eating?
– “Corn.” Corn, peaches, and pears. Today, we’re at Whole Foods in Franklin, Tennessee. Sampling day! My favorite Chafinity matcha. I drink matcha in the morning and
matcha latte at lunchtime. I drink about two cups a day. Of course, matcha latte at a cafe is also delicious, but the sweetness often doesn’t suit me, I prefer making it myself! Sorry for using this chipped plate to make matcha. “Only nine more sleeps until Father’s Day!” Father’s Day!?
Let me see! Oh, right, nine? – How about a dinner of skewered fried food?
– “Sounds good.” Dad likes fried food too. Let’s buy some Japanese sake for him. – “What do you mean, sake?”
– The sake Dad likes. Let’s keep it a secret. Let’s say we want to
go to the Japanese grocery store? “But how do we pay for it?” Mom will buy it secretly. “I’ll say that Sutan and Dad should go ahead.” Mom will say that. The microfoam is done! I like to eat something sweet
before drinking this bitter matcha. Let’s do our best today too! It’s cute with a ribbon! UMAMI! Yay! Nashville! Thank you, Tennessee! We’re going to Kentucky next! Kimonoko gave it to us. It’s cute! Wow, it’s so crowded! Cause it’s Saturday today. NASHVILLE KOA RESORT – It’s a nice place.
– She made some friends! – At the park over there?
– At the pool! Oh, that’s great! Why is she riding in a stroller, Sutan? Sutan is not going to school,
so she doesn’t have many friends, She misses her friends in Japan and
often says that she wants to go back to Japan. But she’s made a few friends here in America, Once she gets close to someone,
she just wants to keep hanging out with them. She doesn’t want to move to a new town. So I want to create opportunities
for her to play with other kids, But you can’t become friends with all the kids
you meet everywhere you go, right? She got a present, so she wants to
give them some UMAMI SAUCE in return. “I want to help you, Mommy!” I’m making okonomiyaki right now,
so will you help me? Thank you! Mom, why did you suddenly
start speaking in Kyoto dialect? – “What did she just say?”
– She started speaking in Kyoto dialect. Normally, it’s like “I’m making okonomiyaki,
so will you help me?” But I said, “I’m making okonomiyaki,
can you help me?” (Kyoto Dialect) I got it from a Japanese grocery store. Can I do it? Okay! Oh, it’s pretty squashed. Done! Okonomiyaki! Doesn’t it look delicious? It looks even more delicious
when it’s a little runny, doesn’t it? Oh, is that part of the performance too? You’re really good at this, aren’t you? – Anyone want to sprinkle some sesame seeds?
– “Yes!” Thank you! Is it delicious? Hmm, this is nostalgic. “The sauce is delicious!” Yeah, the sauce is really delicious! “That’s because it’s UMAMI SAUCE
and Sutan made it!” Delicious.
You’re welcome. “Mushrooms are delicious!” “It’s crispy like potato chips.” Really? That’s amazing! So good! Why are you being secretive? “Oh, you mean about tomorrow” “Tomorrow is moving day.” Sutan can’t do surprises,
and Dad isn’t used to surprises either, right? – What?
– “Don’t say it, Mom.” Um, you mean tomorrow, right? “Guess what Sutan is doing tomorrow.” – Get ready in the morning…
– “No, Sutan!” The green is amazing! Just look!
No, no, just look for a second! What was I doing on a 4-hour drive? – The UMAMI SAUCE store locator.
– Wow! What!? “There is an eagle! Amazing!” “Oh wait it’s a crow?” Cute. What kind of face is that? Cute. – Look at this, I worked hard!
– Wow! That’s amazing! Really? “It broke!” – “It broke…”
– It’s okay, it’s just a snap! Oh my God! That’s amazing!
Can everyone buy it in such a wide area? So when you look at it like this, finally… Ah! That’s amazing! Right now, I’ve only added Whole Foods, but… – Is this only Whole Foods?
– Yeah, just Whole Foods. After driving for four hours,
I’m going to make karaage today! I’ll use this to make yakisoba. I’ll use the chicken left over from sampling. When cooking in the RV,
I don’t want to waste propane gas, so since we have electricity,
instead of boiling water from scratch, use an instant water heater to boil water
and then make water for boiling. Let’s boil the ramen we bought
at Whole Foods for 3 minutes. “What are you doing?” – “How’s it?”
– Oh, it’s good! Wait, I’ll let you put it in for me. You said you wouldn’t tell Dad. Isn’t that what I said yesterday? Oh no! Sutan, Mommy completely forgot it! “Something important?” About Father’s Day. “He might have heard everything!” It’s okay, Dad is pretending not to know. Sutan, can you put this here? I’ll add some UMAMI SAUCE. Kimonoko gave me Shiso the other day. She was like, “You miss shiso, don’t you?” She gave me a shiso plant. Pork belly. I’ll add some vegetables. – “OK!”
– OK? Thank you! “Can I try? Like this?” I said we’d make tempura,
not skewered fried food. Because Daddy loves it. More importantly, how about you try
making omelet rice by yourself for the first time? “That’s a great idea!” Then, write “Happy Father’s Day” or
“I love you, Dad” with ketchup on top of the eggs? “That’s a great idea!” Isn’t that good? It’s great, right? It might be a little too big. Don’t put too much powder inside. – “Is it like this?”
– Yeah, that’s about right. Karaage! Itadakimasu! It’s delicious! I knew this would be delicious! Sutan, thank you for the delicious meal! Sutan worked so hard getting this white! It’s so messy, though! Did you remember? It’s just chicken, umeboshi,
and UMAMI SAUCE, plus shiso. Pickled plumes! Just tasting it is enough to fill us up. “It’s huge!” There’s no way I can get up at 6:30 tomorrow. It’s not getting up at 6:30,
we have to leave at 6:30. After cleaning up here,
we have to get ready for tomorrow… Let’s do it! Let’s do it! Lexington! Today was another exciting day. – “I didn’t cry.”
– Sutan didn’t cry at all, and tried really hard. – She had fun, didn’t she?
– Yeah, Gray looked like he was having a lot of fun. It would be nice if there was someone
who could play with her like that. What do you guys want to eat? – “Udon!”
– Udon, that’s good! – What about Dad?
– Grilled chicken! Actually, I’m going to Chicago tomorrow by myself.
There’s a food show, you know? I’m going to work hard to sell the UMAMI SAUCE
to buyers, give presentations, and stuff. So, Sutan and Dad are going from
Lexington to Cincinnati by car, and there are lots of supermarkets, right?
Supermarket chains that are only in the Midwest. They’re going to check them out. What’s it like? What kind of things do they have?
How much do they cost? All the information. – Not that Sutan and Daddy are
going to go play at the pool or anything while Mom is busy with the food show, right? But make sure you do your homeschooling too. Dad will teach you the ABC. What should I do? Dad learns from her. Sutan, you can already write
your name in English, right? Can you show me how you usually do it?
And let’s do it together. So, we’re going to eat
at a restaurant today! Yay! Plus, we miss Japanese food,
so we decided to go to a Japanese restaurant. I want ramen! I want udon, not ramen! But today was really fun!
The Whole Foods in Lexington, Kentucky. I talked to a lot of locals. A lot of people said they liked the UMAMI SAUCE. “Double Cave, start!” She wants to listen to a podcast,
so hurry up and finish filming. Okay, okay, I got it. Ramen. It’s delicious. I’m glad I chose Gyoza.

In this video, we documented everything we cooked and ate during our one-week journey from Memphis to Nashville 🍙🥢It’s been 7 and a half months since we came to the US!🚌💞Of course, we love tasting and learning from the local food culture wherever we go… but in reality, we cook Japanese food almost every day!🍱✨Thanks to UMAMI SAUCE, we can enjoy the taste of Japan no matter where we are in the world. We’re proud to have developed this sauce so that anyone can easily cook delicious Japanese meals at home. Give it a try!👇

  1. Sutan will be grateful for this experience when she grows up even if she feels lonely now! She gains so much without realising it while travelling the world.

  2. I'm not from the USA, but what you called green onions look like leeks to me. Perhaps they have a different name in America.

  3. i think it's really good if they have dashcam for safety reasons, since they're foreigner, video/photo as a proof is gonna be useful

  4. Each video of yours is a pleasure to watch. The three of you are a great family and Sutan is learning the art of cooking from you really well at a young age , plus learning things from her dad too. If Sutan isn't a chef when older , I think she's going to be a comedian.

  5. It was great seeing you in person at the whole foods in Brooklyn..I wanted to try the sandwich you were making a while back… maybe next time 🎉😂❤… thanks for taking a picture with me 😁😁.. you made My day… hope I see you guys again soon 😂🎉❤😊

  6. I would like to say Im surprised you've been pulled over twice because I'm sure Moto is a very good driver but when it comes to American police nothing surprises me 😂 love the channel and really admire this journey you guys are on as a family ❤

  7. Hello Kimono Mom thank you for this video daughter is very happy and father is teaching her good things for school and Mom is teaching her to cook different Japanese Dishes So i decide to visit Japan🎉😢🎉

  8. The tonhou vegetable is very popular in the Chinese supermarkets too. Tonhou is what we call that in Cantonese (don’t know if it’s the same in Mandarin though)

  9. I bought umami sauce yesterday at Whole Food San Diego.🎉🎉
Yummy! We're going to visit Japan for the first time on July 19th. We're excited!

  10. The "american green onion" you got is actually no green onion, but leek. different plant from the same family of plants 😉

  11. Oh my gosh don't eat raw eggs in the US!! That's dangerous as they can be contaminated! Also please wash your produce before eating – in the US, they could be covered in pesticides or be contaminated! It's a common problem!

  12. Do you feel safe traveling in a fascist racist American government where most states are racist and fascist under Donald Trump administration? Are you not worried about getting arrested and thrown into a immigrant concentration camp???
