Banh Mi Sandwich (RECIPE) ベトナムのバインミーを真似てみました
foreign and today we’re going to be showing you guys how to make our version of the balmy sandwich um earlier this January we were fortunate enough to visit Vietnam it was such a beautiful country and what what most impressed us was the food and out of all the food that we had I think about me really impressed that the bomb meat takes a sandwich to another whole level unfortunately it was very difficult to find all the ingredients necessary for an authentic balmy sandwich so we’re using uh what we found in our local supermarket which is why it’s our version of the following sandwich but I think it turned out pretty good so uh let’s get started with the ingredients alright so we’re making two sandwiches today so we’re gonna start off with two baguettes some ham you can use any kind of deli meats that you like and some coriander or cilantro depending on where you live it’s a different name we also need carrot cucumber daikon rice vinegar sugar and some salt finally we need a little bit of mustard and some mayonnaise so we’re going to start by making some pickles first cut up your carrots into fairly thin matte sticks we’re using about a quarter of a medium carrot today I’m going to do the same thing with your Daikon radish for complete recipe details make sure to check out the description box below all right once that is done place all your vegetables into a bowl sprinkle some of your salt and just squish it with your hands and this is going to help um get some water out of your vegetables add your sugar vinegar and salt and mix it around just a little bit just to incorporate all the ingredients together and set this aside for about 10 minutes next slice your cucumbers and set this aside for your sandwich later on now we’re going to carefully cut our baguette in half and pry it open with your hands next I’m gonna add my mayonnaise followed by my mustard onto the bread now I know that the authentic mommy has a special sauce but I only had mayonnaise and mustard so this has to do for now next we’re going to place our deli meats um I’m placing my ham I’m going to stack them up follow follow along with my cucumber slices and then finally we’re going to squeeze out the excess moisture from our pickled vegetables and place this onto the Cucumbers this is what makes the baguette really a bummy sandwich finally put on your cilantro I’m gonna put a lot because I love cilantro and there you have it my version of a bummy sandwich made with ingredients that I could buy in my neighborhood I hope you guys like this alright so the balmy sandwiches are done what did you guys think we’re using a beer we are we are we are yes the first yeah go ahead uh Taste of vinegar and taste over vinegar and um oh he was trying to say something but he lost his words because the sandwiches are so yummy looking is a very good combinations oh coriander library is special it’s really special oh so guys once again please let us know what you thought about this recipe let us know in the comments below what you thought and if you haven’t already done so please subscribe to our Channel we’ll be very happy so until next time take care guys bye bye thank you

No jalapeño !!!
Hi guys! I've made my own bahn mi sandwich at home too! Mine was different- I used marinated pork cutlet, pickled carrots, cilantro, mayo, and duck pate.
Yey so easy compare to the real thing!! Can't wait to try this!! Thanks for the recipe! 🙂
Delish! Great video. Love that simple ingredients can make such a delicious sandwich.
Refreshing for a hot day! Those baguettes were beautiful, too.
love your shirts and your recipe, hihi, you guys made an awesome vietnamese sandwich! I'm a new subbie too! btw, it should spell "Banh" (not Bahn) in the title 😛
I'm too ''shy'' to comment on every video but I just wanted to tell you that I watch and love them all!!! your videos are always so nicely done and your cheerfulness always cheers me up 😀 hope your channel continues to grow because you guys deserve it!! thank you guys for all the great content~~
That looks like such tasty bread; I'm so jealous!
Hi my friend´s; nice and tasty recipe video; thanks for sharing this with us, best wishes from Tom / ChaosKitchen51
An order over here please !! This has made me so hungry haha
Hey Shinichi, it's "Banh mi", not Bahn mi 😛
Ive got to try this asap, thank god my supermarket sells Japanese mayo, its prob the best mayo in the world!!
Hm? You guys don't have pate available in Japan?
I like your adaption of banh mi as I can imagine that not everyone has access to Vietnamese food around their home.
The beauty of banh mi is you can do practically anything – including making your own version of your banh mi. For next time, you can try adding your grilled chicken (or other grilled meats and or meat alternatives) for another variation of banh mi.
You can also make your own pate (it's made of chicken or pork liver) – I believe that's the special sauce you're referring to. I don't have my own recipe but the recipe that Helen from Helen Recipes made seems pretty good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S–Kp3at4Q4.
That said, thanks for another awesome video Shinichi and Satoshi!
Mmmmmm, that sandwich looks terrific! 🙂
Oh neat. I had no idea what cilantro was until this video haha
I love aaaall your recipes and videos about Japan. I really wanna visit there. It is such a beautiful country.
banh mi no sandwich
I love Bahn Mi!! My fave is the crispy pork one with yummy crackling pieces!! 😀
Darn it, why does cilantro have to taste like soap to me? That looks delicious :<
OMG.. You have all the recipes that I'm craving it😆.. I want to make a video eating this sandwich, thank you so much for sharing! ❤️
