Today I made bean-stuffed rice cake. Hello, I’m Yukari, a cookery researcher. This channel introduces various cooking recipes and useful information. Please subscribe to my channel and enjoy. Easy recipes at home
Please subscribe to my channel I would like to make bean-stuffed rice cake. This time, I will make a delicious and chewy bean-stuffed rice cake. The ingredients are easy to find and very simple to make. There are some points of interest here and there, so please enjoy it all the way through. Please have a look at it. Easy recipes at home Let’s start by introducing today’s ingredients. Here are the ingredients. Shiratama flour, water, sugar, salt, aka-endo (red peas), koshi-an (sweet red bean paste), katakuriko (potato starch), and these ingredients are used to make it. The bean to be used for this mame daifuku will be a red pea called akaendou. Red peas are grainy like this. This time I bought it from Tomizawa Shoten. This one is sold on the internet, etc., so please check it out. And as for the red bean paste to put inside, I will use Koshi-An this time. You can also use granular bean paste if you like. I will make it with these ingredients right away. Easy recipes at home Now let’s make it. First, I will put the red peas back in water. Be sure to put this one back in water before boiling it because it is very hard like this now. Add about three times as much water as red peas. And let it soak for roughly 6-8 hours. Don’t forget to put the beans back in beforehand when making mame daifuku. You can also use already-boiled beans. Now I will soak it in water for 6-8 hours. It’s been roughly 8 hours now. When I put it back in water thoroughly, it becomes fluffy and wrinkle-like like this. Return it to water firmly until it is about this size. This is how it looks compared to the original red peas. This side is the red pea without reverting. Like this. Let’s bring it back to this level of firmness. So now I will boil the red peas. Put the red peas in the pot first. Then add about three times as much water as the beans here. Then put it on the fire. The heat is medium. Continue heating until once boiling. Boiled. Once boiling, reduce heat to low. Continue to boil for roughly 20-30 minutes until beans are tender. If you run out of hot water, add stinging water and continue boiling. Now let’s boil it. Now exactly 20 minutes have passed. Once 20 minutes have passed, pick up the beans once and pick a bean that looks a little hard and crush it with your finger once. If you can easily crush them with your fingers like this and they are soft, you are good to go. And when it’s boiled properly, we cover it with a lid and let it steam for 20 minutes. 20 minutes have passed. Then this one drains the hot water. The red peas are now ready. Going to let this sit for a little bit and take it off the heat. Easy recipes at home Next, I roll out the bean paste. Roughly in grams, I recommend about 40 grams per piece. 40 grams is about this much. This is rounded lightly as appropriate. It looks like this. Now I will make the remaining 5 pieces to make 6 pieces in total. Six pieces rounded off. Then put a fluffy wrap over the top. Now the bean paste is ready. So now I will make the rice cakes. First, put the white bean flour in a heatproof container. And here is the sugar. Now add two pinches of salt. This will enhance the sweetness of the bean paste. Then once you do that, mix this here with a whisk or something to mash the white bean flour. Once the mixture is roughly mixed, it is ready. Then add water to the mixture. First add about 2/3 of the water. Mix in the white bean flour while crushing. When roughly blended, add the rest. It is easier to mix if you divide the mixture into two parts like this rather than adding it all at once. Mix in this way. After mixing to a certain extent, switch to a rubber spatula and mix the last grains of white bean flour so that it is thoroughly mashed. Try to avoid the formation of grains as much as possible. OK. Mix thoroughly until it is this smooth. Then remove the dough from around it like this. Now please put a fluffy wrap here. After wrapping, let’s make one air inlet/outlet. Heat this in a microwave oven at 600 watts for 1 minute 30 seconds. Now heated for 1 minute 30 seconds. Once unwrapped. It is in a state of solidification in places. This is mixed thoroughly once so that the whole mixture is uniform. Try mixing the rice cake in this way so that it is pressed into the rice cake. Mixed like this. When the dough is even, fluff and wrap again. Then microwave again in the same way at 600 watts for 1 minute 30 seconds. Heated for 1 minute 30 seconds. Remove the plastic wrap again. Now mix this thoroughly until it becomes glossy. Again, try mixing this with a rubber spatula to knead it a little. After mixing to some extent, glue the mixture firmly like this to make it glossy. If the rice cake becomes shiny and transparent like this, it is ready. Now I will add these boiled beans. As for the quantity, I’m boiling 60 grams this time. I think it’s a little bit too much for rice cakes, so you can add as much as you like. If you have extra, you can freeze it, so in that case, I suggest you freeze it in small portions. If you do that, you can use it to make daifuku again, so please try to make use of it in that way. Now let’s put it in. Roughly half of the data has been added. Now we will mix this one. Let’s mix the beans so as not to crush them as much as possible. Gently wrap the mixture with the rice cake. If you feel like you might crush it with a spatula, wet your hands with water and gently press it down with your hands. It will be easier to put it in. But just be careful not to burn yourself because the rice cakes are also a little hot. This is OK. Put it together like this. Now I will wrap the bean paste here. Easy recipes at home Then put the potato starch out into the bat. Place the rice cake on top. Put out like this. Wet your hands again and stretch them a little flat. Then we will sprinkle potato starch here. And divide this into 6 equal parts. This is OK. Now we will wrap the bean jam here. Please take one of the pieces I just separated. Stretch this one a little. Stretch like this. Then, put this Koshi-An in the center and rotate it around to wrap the red bean paste. Now I close the mouth. Close your mouth tightly like this. Now you can shape it. Now it is complete. Wrap it up like this. Wrap the rest in the same way. It’s done. As you can see, the beans are plentiful and deliciously done. Easy recipes at home Now the bean daifuku is ready to be served. This is how it turned out. The cross section looks like this. The bean paste is finished with a lot of bean jam and looks delicious. It’s done. Now, I would like to eat. Let’s eat. It’s very tasty and full of beans. And the mochi is chewy. Easy recipes at home
Please subscribe to my channel. Deliciously finished today. This is the point of bean-stuffed rice cake this time. First of all, it’s these beans, and this time I used red peas. Be sure to put these red peas back in water before boiling. I would say roughly 6-8 hours is about the time to put them back in. If you have the time, I would definitely ask you to soak it for half a day. And then you boil them in water, but I didn’t add it this time, but if you add a little bit of baking soda to the water when you boil the beans, it will help soften the skin. So if you have baking soda, you can add a little bit. If you put too much, it will change the taste. If you don’t have it, you don’t have to put it in if you can’t boil the fish as well as I can. When soft-boiled, cover and steam for 20 minutes. This will soften the beans evenly. This is the key to making rice cakes. When making mochi, first add sugar and salt to the white bean flour and mix to lightly mash the white bean flour. Then add water, but first add about 2/3 of the mixture, mix lightly, and then add the rest of the water. This will make it easier to mix. After adding water, mix firmly until the grains of white bean flour are gone. It is easier to use a rubber spatula than a wooden spatula. And when there are no more grains of white bean flour, cover with plastic wrap and microwave at 600 watts for 1 minute 30 seconds. Then the hardened part and the un-hardened part will come out, but mix them well so that they blend together. Then, when it comes together into one dough, wrap it up again and microwave it again. Then this time everything will be evenly heated. And finally, make sure to mix it well until it is clear and shiny. And then mix the red peas into the finished rice cake, but be careful not to mix too hard at this point, or the peas will be crushed. It is easier to do by hand than with a rubber spatula, but be careful not to burn yourself because the rice cakes are a little hot. Then place the rice cake on top of the potato starch and divide it into 6 equal portions and wrap the red bean paste around the rice cake. This time, I made it the same size as in the store, but you can change this size to your liking. The ingredients are easy to find and very simple to make. It is very tasty and you should try to make it. Easy recipes at home Today I made bean-stuffed rice cake. I have many other various videos on my channel. Please subscribe to my channel and enjoy.
