トルコ発のラグを迎えて旅の記録を暮らしに飾る1日|サバの洋風ワンプレートレシピ
Returning from Turkey, I tried brewing the herbal tea I found at the market in Istanbul again as usual in the morning . I remember it was a relaxing tea with plenty of dried fruits, dried flowers, and ginger . When I poured hot water into it, it seemed to bring back the memories of my trip. I came across some special cups during my trip. At first glance, I decided to take it home with me! The tea set has now become the main attraction of my daily tea time. I will treasure it from now on, along with my memories . The tea was accompanied by Damak, a chocolate brand that is a staple in Turkey. I ate many other delicious sweets there. It was sweet, exciting, and moving. That was what the trip was supposed to be like, but at the very end, there was a problem that rarely happens in life. lol I was able to return home safely, so I can laugh about it now. It happened at the airport on my way back home… It’s a true story. I called it the “Istanbul Left Behind Incident…”. Actually… I couldn’t get on the flight back home! I’ve been traveling for a long time , and this was the first time I’ve ever experienced something like this…um…I’m going to tell you a very embarrassing story, but the food at the airport lounge was so luxurious that I ate a lot , and I was late going to the gate, and I arrived 10 minutes before departure → the gate was closed… I thought I was used to traveling, but I was completely careless . The sweets at the lounge were also rich and all too delicious… I was so greedy that I had to buy a new one-way ticket and return home… Yes, it’s my fault… The biggest lesson from this trip is “Go to the gate early!” (Everyone knows that) It’s an unforgettable trip in many ways, but I can laugh while eating chocolate, so that’s okay. I’m sure I’m enjoying the filled with… travel log more than anyone else. I ‘m happy to be able to leave my memories in a tangible form like this, and I hope that even an ordinary day like this one, which I watch over and over again , will become a precious memory someday. Let’s also decorate the shelves in my room with Turkish designsI’m slowly bringing all the things I’ve found on my travels into my roomThis is my way of enjoying the rest of my travelsFirst, the embroidered pouch I found in a souvenir shopThe hot air balloon pouch was too cuteI also displayed my coffee and herbal teaThe soap I found in a small shop in Cappadocia is pinkThe soap is made from argan oilIt is said to be rich in minerals and vitamin E and has an incredibly moist feelGoat’s milk is gentle on the skin and has a soothing effectI’m looking forward to using it to make my skin smoothThe effects of juniper tar soap are mainly antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and for treating skin diseasesIt is effective in treating oily skin, acne, itchiness, and preventing hair loss from the scalp◯ I usually regret not buying moreI can use this shelf that I installed myself as a little makeover and it’s my favoriteNow, it’s time for today’s main event! This time, I personally imported a rug from overseas for the first time. I fell in love with this rug at a local interior shop, but at first, the shop told me that they only deliver within Turkey, so I gave up on the purchase. However, I couldn’t give up, so after returning to Japan, I asked a proxy to order it for me . It arrived safely, and now I’m able to hold the unboxing ceremony. The rug is from the Turkish interior brand “Mudo Concept” and was personally imported by “Nova Roma”, who delivered it to Japan. I’ll put a link in the description, so if you’re interested, please check it out. This is a nice texture… I’m already looking forward to sitting on the floor. Another favorite that I found on my trip has joined my room! During the trip, I was always worried about the herbs on my balcony. Some of them grew a lot thanks to the measures I took during the trip, such as poking holes in plastic bottles to prevent them from drying out , and some of them almost died but managed to revive, but unfortunately the parsley died… I plan to take care of them as much as possible from now on, but some of them are delicate, so I’m still worried when I go on another trip… I need to think of some measures before my next trip. I’ve been eating Japanese food for a while since I came back to Japan, but today I’m going to make a meal using herbs. It’s getting hot, so I’ll take off my sweatshirt and turn on my motivation switch! For the main course, I’ll take a hint from the mackerel sandwich I had on my trip and arrange it in a menu. Let’s get started! First, I washed the herbs well and thoroughly sterilized them with Pasteurizer . I cut the zucchini into strips and made the yogurt sauce. I sprinkle salt on it to make it soft, so it blends well with the sauce. I’m going to finish it off with a thick sauce using Greek yogurt that doesn’t need to be drained . I squeezed out the excess water and grated it into a bowl. I added garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice, and plenty of torn dill. How does it taste? Hmm! The garlic and piled dill are doing a great job! Next is octopus and basil marinade. The freshly picked basil smells great. I would have liked to have olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon juice, anchovies, and wine vinegar, but I only had sushi vinegar. But actually, I think sushi vinegar is a versatile seasoning with a perfect balance of sweetness and sourness. Yes, it’s really delicious. I made one more appetizer, ratatouille with lots of vegetables. I should probably sharpen my knife soon. I’ve been thinking about getting a good knife for about 10 years now. Maybe even more!? I’ll do my best today with my 10-year-old knife. I like grating garlic because it brings out the aroma more than mincing it. Ratatouille can be used in pasta, on meat or fish, or on a baguette. The ways to use it are endless. After adding the canned tomatoes, add a little honey to soften the sourness of the tomatoes, a bay leaf, and finally add salt and simmer. It’s amazing! This is absolutely delicious even when eaten cold. Mix in some chopped Italian parsley to finish and it’s done! Here comes the main dish, mackerel! Sprinkle on some salt and leave for 10 minutes. Once the smell is gone, add the rosemary aroma to the oil and bake it slowly. The mackerel sandwich I had in Istanbul was so delicious that I can’t forget it… I’m going to try to recreate it with lots of spices. Crazy Salt is a mix of spices and herbs, so it’s easy to use and I recommend it. It’s almost done! …I want to snack on it! The sauce is a 1:1 ratio of soy sauce and oyster sauce, which should get you close to the local taste. Pack the flavors of your travels into one dish and you’ve got a special mackerel plate! This is my “memorable meal” I’ll also serve it with a baguette. This is the taste that will change your concept of mackerel. Actually, I’m from Fukui, so I’m quite picky about mackerel, but this recipe has changed my view of mackerel… I ate so much mackerel as a child that I honestly got a little tired of it , but I never expected to be in Turkey and have such fond memories of the mackerel I got tired of eating so much . I put mackerel on yogurt sauce… it’s amazing. It’s too delicious!! I think I’ve found a delicious combination. I think I’ll buy mackerel more often at the supermarket from now on… I’ll decorate my scarf with it too. I hope to see you all again next time. This was Marina.
