Before entering the restaurant, we took a walk in the 10,000m2 Sansuitei Garden! The symbol of the garden, the 7m high waterfall, was shining beautifully in the sunlight. Next to the waterfall were wisteria flowers, which were in full bloom. They gently colored the spring moment. All seats were private and reservations were required. Let’s take a look at the menu! There were three luxurious courses filled with eel! Limited items with a very rich color! The classic unadon and unaju were also available. Eel pasta, children’s meal, hitsumabushi! There was a wide selection of single dishes. There was a wide variety of drinks, from alcoholic beverages to soft drinks. Some menu items are available for takeout! This time, we ordered hitsumabushi, pasta, umaki, and warabimochi! Lunch started! First, we started with umaki! It was more voluminous than we expected! The sweetness of the egg and eel spread throughout our mouths! Next, we had eel pasta with salt sauce! The tomato, salt sauce, and garlic went perfectly with the crispy and juicy eel! Next, we had hitsumabushi! We were captivated by the aroma of the eel and its glossy appearance even before we ate! The sauce was a special one made with tamari soy sauce and Mikawa Hon Mirin. They say they grill the eel by adjusting the charcoal and heat to the optimum level. As recommended, we had eel bowl → condiments → ochazuke → your choice in that order. The first bowl was eel bowl. The sweet and rich sauce and the crispy outside and fluffy inside texture of the eel were amazing! The second bowl was a condiment. The wasabi in particular had a refreshing flavor that enhanced the taste. The third bowl was ochazuke. The soup stock made with the shop’s special bonito flakes was effective and had a gentle taste! The last bowl was served with pickles as a condiment! Matcha and vanilla soft serve from Nishio’s specialty shop “Shokakuen”. The bittersweet matcha and rich vanilla were very delicious! Warabimochi. The chewy warabimochi was entangled with sweet brown syrup and was very satisfying! I ate it all in a flash! Thank you for the meal! I was very satisfied! Apart from the food, I was also attracted by the design of the tableware. The dishes are carefully selected to match each dish.
