【キッチンツアー】大家族が愛用するキッチングッツ&収納術を公開!!Kitchen tour! Kitchen goods & storage methods

Five siblings who eat a lot. Meals at the Hirari family. Hello. I’m Touko Mama. I’m a mother raising five children. We recently got a new storage shelf in the dining room. Our house is a 40-year-old rental house, and the kitchen and dining room are in one space. The kitchen has little storage space, and dishes, kitchen utensils, and stocked ingredients are all over the place… It’s overflowing with things and it’s a mess (lol). I hadn’t found a shelf that I thought was “this!” for a long time, so I hesitated to buy one. The other day, I found a really nice shelf at a furniture store. It’s fate! I’m going to store my dishes and kitchen utensils there. The counter is where I put my microwave and rice cooker, but I decided to use it as a work space. Until now, I’ve been working on my computer on the dining table. It’s a bit inconvenient because the cords get all tangled and I have to clean up every time I eat. By creating a dedicated space, I think I’ll be able to work calmly. Above all, it seems to improve my efficiency. I’ll store things I use for work in the drawers. Filming equipment, recording equipment, camera parts, etc. It will be convenient to be able to quickly take them out when you need them. The counter table is a little high, so I prepared a chair for work to match it. The most important thing about a chair is how comfortable it is to sit on , right? I sat on various chairs and compared them, and chose the one that was right! It matches the atmosphere of the shelves perfectly and looks good. I also installed a desk lamp. I put a pot here so that I can easily drink coffee even while working. This is a Yamazen electric kettle. You can set the temperature from 60℃ to 100℃. It looks chic and nice. I store dishes on the upper shelf. This is actually the back door next to the kitchen. It’s hard to use, so I DIYed it and made it into a storage space. Until now, I’ve been storing dishes in a MUJI storage case, but it’s about to overflow with dishes. It’s a bit disappointing… First, I’ll start by taking out all the dishes and organizing them. These are wonderful plates I found at pottery markets and pottery shops. They are all different shapes and sizes, but I like them all. Some of them are tableware that I got from my parents’ house and have memories for them. I have a lot of tableware, but they are all first-class tableware. There are almost no tableware that I don’t use. It would be a shame to have those precious plates buried in a crowded place… I separate them one by one according to their purpose, such as large plates, small bowls, and tableware for everyday use. This is a large plate that is familiar to you on YouTube and is always used at the dinner table. This is MUJI tableware that I use every day for rice bowls, noodles, soup, etc. There are large, medium, and small sizes. When I put them all out like this… there is a lot! I was surprised (lol). This is the tableware that we use the most in our house. It’s a small plate for everyone. This 17cm size is very easy to use. It’s a children’s bowl that I’ve been using for almost 10 years? Now, I’m going to put all these tableware on a new shelf. The top shelf is out of reach for the children, so I decided to put large plates and dishes that we use occasionally. These large plates make the usual dinner table look more gorgeous. The color, pattern, and texture of the dish can completely change the atmosphere of the dish. This large plate is often used, so it is at the bottom, where it is easy to access. I bought it at a pottery market, and it was carefully made by an artist. I will use it carefully. Square plates are a great match for Japanese food. Just by serving the food on them, it makes the food look a little more sophisticated. I also have Japanese dishes that were given to me by my parents. They have beautiful patterns, and when you put side dishes such as stews on them, the food looks even more attractive. I will store these at the top so that my children do not break them. And these are slightly smaller Japanese dishes. I will store them side by side. They are a little smaller than the large plates, but I also use them often, so I will store them in a place where I can easily reach them. This drawer storage is the easiest place on the shelf to access . I decided to store the dishes that the children use most often here. If they can access them themselves, it will greatly reduce my burden. The second shelf is deep and I store cups and other items. The cups, which were crammed together before, now have plenty of room to move to the new shelf. They are now easier to take out. In the top drawer, I store the plates I use on a regular basis. The colorful plates in the back are from Iittala. They are excellent items that are hard to break and last a long time. The plates in the front were purchased from Rakuten, and I love their design and ease of use. I have all the kitchen utensils I bought on Rakuten stored in my Rakuten Room, so please check it out in the description section. These are also MUJI dishes that I use on a regular basis. They fit neatly into the top shelf . I was able to store all of the dishes I had, and there is still room on the shelf. In the deep storage space at the bottom, I put my food processor, yogurt maker, water bottle, recipe books, etc. together. I will display family photos and photos of my children next to the shelves. Now the storage shelf is complete! It feels good to have everything neatly tidy♪ It looks like it will become my favorite space, and I am looking forward to spending time there. The MUJI storage boxes where I used to store my dishes. I will store my stock ingredients here. Until now, I didn’t have a place to store them, so I put them in the storage under the stairs. But it’s still a hassle to go and get them. It’s convenient to have things you use in the kitchen near the kitchen. When it gets warmer, I often eat somen and udon noodles for lunch on holidays. It’s reassuring to have plenty of these two types in stock. On days when I don’t feel like cooking anything, I have instant curry. People tend to think that I cook properly every day, but there are often days when I have instant curry. Instant ramen also appears frequently. It’s easy, delicious, and a reliable dish. I store canned foods on the top shelf. The canned foods I often use are canned corn, which my children love. Canned tuna easily adds flavor to dishes. I use it often because it enhances the flavor of rice. Koya tofu is also a great ingredient that is full of nutrients and keeps well. My children love it, so I always have it on hand. The storage will fill up quickly, so it’s reassuring to have some extra space. The top shelf is still the same as before, and I keep coffee powder and tea thongs in it. I decided to store my lunch items on the right side. This is a soup jar that I use to put soup or curry in. I use a Zojirushi soup jar. It’s nice to be able to eat warm rice in the cold winter. This is a small Tupperware container that I put fruit in. If you keep your lunch bag and drawstring bag together, it will make your morning preparations smoother. I made labels with masking tape so that I don’t forget where things are. I also bought this white masking tape at MUJI. It’s simple and looks good! Just reviewing your storage can make your daily housework much easier. The back door was difficult to use. I’ve been working on it little by little to make it easier to use. From here, I will introduce the kitchen utensils and kitchen appliances that I usually use. First of all, I use my oven range many times a day. I use a TOSHIBA stone oven dome. It has two oven levels, so it’s perfect for families who want to make a lot at once. It has a high heat temperature, so it’s also suitable for baking bread. The included net allows excess oil to drip down, so it is useful when grilling chicken. The tin box next to it is where I store my rice. It’s a tin box from MUJI. It can hold 0 kg of rice. The simple look is also good. Above the microwave is a toaster. I use an Aladdin toaster that can bake 4 slices. The graphite heater heats up in just 0.2 seconds, which is attractive. The toaster for 4 slices comes with this grill pan. With this grill pan, you can cook a variety of dishes, such as grilling meat and fish, and steaming vegetables. I often grill fish with this grill pan. Unlike a grill, there is less washing up to do, which is nice. If you choose a slightly larger size toaster, you can use it for a variety of purposes, such as baking gratin and pizza, in addition to bread. Unlike an oven, you can use it without preheating it, which is nice. Basket on top of the toaster. One basket contains cereals and protein. The other basket contains snacks for the children. Rice crackers, biscuits, etc. I choose them, or the children choose them and buy them. My youngest child is 3 years old. If I keep them within reach, he will eat as much as he wants. I keep them out of reach. On the top, I store kitchen tools that I use occasionally. I line up MUJI file boxes and use them. It’s convenient to label what’s in it so you can see at a glance what’s in it. The hand blender is the one I use the most. It’s a truly versatile item that can do many things with just one unit. I often use it to mince chicken and pork, and to finely chop cabbage and Chinese cabbage for dumplings. I chose a large capacity type that can hold a lot. After putting in the ingredients, just put the lid on and attach the motor part. It has plenty of power, so it can quickly handle heavy tasks. The next one I use often is the hand mixer. I use the included container to make mixed juice with fruit and milk. It’s also very convenient when putting it directly into a pot to make potage. Another nice point is that it reduces the amount of dishes to wash. Another use is when whipping cream or meringue. It comes with a whisk, so this function is helpful for those who only use it occasionally , but since it only has one blade, I often use a dedicated hand mixer separately. This is the hand blender I use when making sweets. It has five speed settings, and the speed is adjusted to match the bowl, which improves whipping efficiency. My daughter likes making sweets, so I use it often. Every summer, we have an electric Doshisha shaved ice maker. I think we’ve been using it for over 10 years now. Just put ice in and press the button. The great thing about it is that even children can easily make shaved ice. We use it almost every day during the hot summer. This is a cooking sheet used when kneading bread. I bought it at Tomizawa Shoten. It sticks firmly to the table and doesn’t come off, so it’s easy to knead bread. Placemats are rarely used when you have children. I use them when I invite friends over for a home party. Placemats make the dining table more festive. This is a placemat from MoMA. It’s a souvenir from when my husband went abroad for work. Next, I’ll show you the kitchen side where I always cook. The kitchen counter that I’ve been using for about 40 years. After years of use, the door came off, the drainage got clogged, and various other inconveniences started to appear. Six months ago, I asked my landlord to replace my kitchen with a new one. I keep the kitchen tools I use often lined up by the window. It’s very convenient because I can quickly take them out while cooking. These are kitchen tools I got from MUJI . The ladles, cooking chopsticks, spatulas, etc. are all simple and easy to use. My favorite is this jam spoon. Not only is it useful for spreading jam, but it’s also useful for scooping bottled seasonings and mixing sauces, and the shape and length of the handle are just right. Next is Kai. They are a famous manufacturer of knives, and they are very sharp. This peeler peels skin with little force and is very easy to use. I also use a Kai fish bone remover. These are OXO kitchen tools. The spatula is just the right thickness and softness, so I like it because it fits easily under ingredients. And the boiled egg cutter is also from OXO. It neatly cuts boiled eggs for lunch boxes. It’s a small thing, but it feels good. And this is an OXO salad spinner. The key to enjoying a delicious salad is to thoroughly drain the water. This button stops the spinning, so it’s safe to use and easy to clean. When I use the salad spinner, my kids come over and spin it around and have fun. Next, let’s start with the door on the far right under the dishwasher. Moisture tends to accumulate under the drain, so I don’t put food there. I store dishwashing detergent, cleaning detergent, alcohol, etc. Next to it, I store all kinds of bags, such as airtight bags and plastic bags. The new kitchen also has a storage space for knives, which I’m really grateful for! I now use Soda Stream to make carbonated water, which I like to drink in the summer. All I have to do is set up the carbon dioxide gas cylinder. I used to buy it in plastic bottles, but now I don’t have to worry about waste anymore. This is the TOFFY juicer that I sometimes use. It has a stronger mixing power than a hand blender, so I use it depending on what I’m making. For example, I use it to finely grind rice and make “rice bread.” The door next to it. I use MUJI file boxes to store things upright here. This stainless steel tray often appears on YouTube. It’s convenient for storing fried foods and cut ingredients. I inherited this large tray from my parents’ house and have probably been using it for over 40 years. I don’t know the manufacturer, but good tools really last a long time. This small tray is from Kai. You can use plates instead, but having a dedicated tray makes cooking smoother. I also store glass bowl lids and wooden drop lids upright here. I accidentally bought two of the same size drop lids. Well, I use them often, so it’s no problem (lol) . I also store the grill pan for my Aladdin toaster upright here. It has a mesh, so it can be used for fried foods. I also store plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and oven sheets upright. Just being able to quickly take them out really reduces stress while cooking. I store tupperware in the lower drawer. I use many of them in use, so I don’t have many. I have three sizes of IWAKI glass tupperware. Since it’s made of glass, you can see the contents at a glance. It is microwave safe, can be put in the oven if you remove the lid, and can also be used as a gratin dish. Moreover, just putting it in makes the side dishes look delicious, so we often serve it on the table as is . This is an enamel container from MUJI. It has an airtight lid, so it is perfect for storing soups and strong-smelling foods. It can be placed on an open flame, but it is not microwaveable , so choose according to the ingredients you are storing. The middle drawer stores the cutlery we use every day. It is within reach of the children, so it is convenient for helping with serving food . The Microplane grater has a sturdy handle and is very easy to use. It is very useful for grating cheese, as well as garlic, ginger, and other condiments. The bottom drawer stores the children’s lunch boxes and other small items used in lunch boxes. Furikake sprinkles to put on rice are also stored here. My husband always chooses and buys things that he thinks the children will like. Lunch boxes from Kobo Aizawa, which is well known on YouTube. We have three sizes: 670ml, 500ml, and 360ml. We use them according to the amount of food the children eat. The price is a little high, but the appeal is that it is made of durable stainless steel and can be used for a long time. Plastic lunch boxes break after a few years, but this one seems like it can be used for decades . The gasket is sold separately, so you can replace it if it breaks. Since it is stainless steel, it cannot be used in the microwave. In winter, I carry it with a soup jar to protect it from the cold. It’s a staple item in our home that we use almost every day. In the deepest drawer at the bottom, we store the seasonings we use often. Since we got a new kitchen, we can now store all the seasonings in one place. It’s very easy to use. This is the work space where we always cook. This bottom door. Here we put a storage drawer and store the dried foods we use often. Below this, we have the powders that we’ve used. Sugar, salt, weak flour, etc. Oh, and by the way, we made takoyaki with the kids the other day. Above this, we have the bowls that we always use. A glass bowl in the front, and a stainless steel bowl in the back. The one I usually use is the IWAKI glass bowl. It’s made of glass, so it’s heavy, but it’s a simple and easy-to-use glass bowl. It can be used in the microwave and oven. There are five sizes in total. We use different sizes depending on what we’re making. The lids on the bowls are convenient. You can put them in the microwave with the lid on, or put them in the refrigerator with the lid on, and store them as they are. It’s also nice that you can stack them and store them compactly. The largest bowl in our home is from Pearl Metal. I’m currently storing bamboo shoots that I received from my parents’ house. I use this large bowl and colander to store boiled noodles such as udon and ramen. We have a family of seven, so if we don’t use this size, we can’t fit everything in. I store the frying pans I use often upright. I use Teflon-coated frying pans from T-fal. There are three types of regular frying pans: 20cm, 26cm, and 28cm. The price of the frying pan seems to vary depending on the strength of the coating. I try to choose frying pans with strong coating strength because I want to use them as long as possible. I recently purchased a deep 28cm frying pan. It’s attractive because it can hold a lot of food. I was debating between this and an iron wok, but I chose this frying pan because it’s easy to handle. It will be useful when you want to make a lot of food, such as fried rice or curry. There are two types of iron frying pans. Iron distributes heat evenly, so the food is cooked evenly and the food turns out delicious. The smaller frying pan is a 25cm size from Sori Yanagi. If you take good care of it, it will last a long time, so it’s a product you’ll want to keep using. This is a 30cm iron frying pan from Shimamoto Seisakusho. It’s a little heavy, so I haven’t used it much lately, but it’s a reliable item when cooking for a large group of people. Next is under the gas stove. This is the kitchen counter, which was not replaced because it wasn’t broken, and is still the same as before. I keep pots and pans under the gas stove. For pots and pans, which can be a headache to store, I recommend using a file box turned sideways. It’s now stress-free storage, allowing you to take them out and put them away quickly. These are the four types of saucepans I use most often. They are all from Miyazaki Seisakusho. This is Miyazaki Seisakusho’s Geo Product. It has good thermal conductivity and heat retention, so it doesn’t cool down easily even when you make soup. It’s a versatile pot that can be used for boiling, baking, frying, and stir-frying. I use it every day. This is Miyazaki Seisakusho’s Yukihira pot. Yukihira pots are often made of aluminum, but stainless steel is very durable. It is heavier than aluminum pots. In addition to boiling, it can be used for a wide range of dishes such as simmering, frying, and deep-frying, so it is very convenient. Enamel pots are made in France. They have high heat retention, which makes stewed dishes delicious. Recently, I made paella. It can be served as is, so it makes the table look more elegant. Enamel pots are heavy, so it is difficult to lift and wash them. However, I recommend them to people who like to cook. This is Yoshikawa’s steamer for frying pans. Steaming dishes using steamers are popular these days. I like the ease of use of stainless steel steamers for frying pans. I often make steamed vegetables, shumai, meat buns, chawanmushi, etc. Just place it on top of a frying pan filled with hot water. I appreciate being able to easily steam dishes. Oil after deep-frying is a problem. I use an oil pot from Iris Ohyama. I clean the oil by passing it through an activated charcoal filter and reuse it. The rice cooker is the one I get the most questions about. I use a 5-cup rice cooker made by Miyazaki Seisakusho. Why don’t you use a rice cooker? Many people may wonder this. The first reason is that it cooks rice quickly. In 30 minutes, delicious rice is ready. You can wash the rice in the morning and cook it in time. The same rice cooker is not on the market now, and it seems that a new type of rice cooker has been made. Because it is a kitchen utensil that you use every day, using your favorite one makes cooking more fun. Storage that allows you to quickly take out items also helps relieve daily stress. Finally, the seasoning holder next to the counter. Since it is a rental house, I use the original built-in shelf as a seasoning holder. The container I use is Takeya Fresh Rock. I put tablespoons and teaspoons inside, which is convenient for measuring. I put spice and herb bottles on top. I sometimes make dishes using spices. What did you think? A tour of my kitchen. I moved here a little over four years ago. When I’m cooking, my kids come over, attracted by the smell, and help out, picking up some food. It’s not the latest kitchen, but it’s an important place in our daily lives. Thank you for watching until the end. 1. 私も今の住まいに移ってそれなりに経ちますが、とりあえずで荷解きしてほりこんだままのものが結構あります

    整理しなきゃ💦

  2. You're so organized, I wish I was and I have so much cupboard space.
I love your tableware, especially the ones given to you from your parents. You'll be able to pass them along to your children as they grow up and leave the nest. Thankfully, that's not going to happen for quite a while.
I'm going to take some of your ideas and use them in my kitchen; after I donate the cookware I no longer use. I went a little overboard buying pink appliances and pink cookware for my kitchen and I'm now using brand new cookware that's almost an almond colour. I'm trying to sell my pink stand mixer on Facebook marketplace but every person asking about it wants it for practically nothing 😂

  3. You have a very beautiful and functional arsenal of dishes and pans. It was a great pleasure to take a tour of your kitchen and living room. Thank you for this precious video!

  9. I love to collect 1:6 scale dolls and miniatures. I've become a fan of Rement miniatures, but wondered how authentic their portrayal of "typical " Japanese kitchens is. They presented a collection with a cabinet much like your new cabinet that came with various miniature dishes and cups. I say it's very authentic because it is very reminiscent of your collection! You have some gorgeous dishes of so many different styles. It must be fun to choose which will show off your cooking to the best advantage. And it's always nice to keep pieces from your family that evoke fond memories.

  10. Please don't use Soda Stream!! It is an Israeli ☠ company that closely works with both the Israeli government and the USA. Boycott! Love to all children! ❤

  11. 調理道具参考になります!
    そして少しずつ進化するキッチン、お料理も含めこれからも楽しみにしてます💓

  12. Thank for the lovely tour of your kitchen! Love your new dresser. I love how you make the most of what space you have and turn out beautiful meals. I love Muji, when i go home to Singapore .Sadly, we don't have a Muji in New Zealand, and after being here for 46yrs,we are finally about to get Ikea! By the way, you look great, you're glowing! Can't wait to meet the latest addition to your beautiful family.
