[Music] Hi guys and welcome back to another delicious episode of Shell’s Homemade. And today guys, we’re going to be making an kale apple crunch salad with a homemade vinegrett. So, first thing we’re going to do is we’re going to chop our apple up, right? You only need one apple. um large to medium medium large um apple Granny Smith, but um I prefer a Granny Smith for this, but whatever kind of apple you want to make. I may want to use Golden Delicious, Red and Delicious. So, they’re going to be like thin like these. See how thin that is? Then like that. That’s the size I’m looking for that you should be looking for in your apple. Right. These up and just slice up your apples. This is going to be a really quick salad. We’re going to make our vinegrett in the bowl. And you only need one apple, but if you want more, you know, use two. If you think you need more apples than this one, it’s an apple print salad. I just wanted to chop my apples up first. Look at all the apples this one apple is giving us. Like I said, you don’t need much. Just making a kale salad. All right, there’s your apples chopped up. Then we’re going to move to the next thing. Okay, so let’s make our vinegrett. We’re going to add some garlic. Going to need about a teaspoon of garlic. Not a lot. You don’t want to overpower it. Going to go down with a little lemon juice. A teaspoon of lemon juice. Got some Dijon mustard. It’s a new jar. I’m just opening it up, guys. You got to take that. And we’re going to use about a whole tablespoon of some Dijon mustard, a whole tablespoon of some honey. This is just balancing out those flavors. All right. I add some pepper. Half a teaspoon of pepper. Half a teaspoon of some salt. Some garlic powder. All right. Then we got our extra virgin olive oil. And I’m going to slowly pull this as I whisk this around. And that mustard is going to help this emulsify. And if you don’t want to do this, just use your favorite dressing for this. That is perfect. You do anything else to it. So now I’m going clean this up. Then we’re going to add we’re going to start working that salad. All right. So let’s get our kale into our bowl. Oh, I don’t have a lot to clean up. move my spatula. I mean my whisk. All right. So, let’s add let’s go ahead and add my apples. I am getting everything all over the floor today. I’m trying to tell you what’s going on with me today. Sweep this pull up. All right. Apples in there. I dropped three apples on the dag on floor, guys. And my almonds. So, it’s really just kale, apples, and almonds. And you can put as much or as little almonds as you like. And take my tongs and pull it up from the bottom to the top. Got kale all over the place. I got apples all over the place. I don’t know what in the world I’ve been doing. So, what you want to do is you want to try to get everything coated in here. Right. I got Kag on floor. You know what’s going on with me and that egg on salad. So slowly so you don’t end up like me with everything all over the place. I should have just made it in a separate bowl and just pulled it over the Just trying to get it. I love this salad. This is a really good salad. Like the dressing matches the salad. It’s just I usually don’t use this much kale. It’s probably what it is. It’s getting there. It’s almost there. Almost there, guys. Almost. Okay. You don’t want to soak it. You just want to get it on there. So, I’m going to taste it. It’s a almond kale. Oh yeah, this is it. Mhm. Guys, this is a delicious salad.
