Teriyaki Chicken Maki Sushi Rolls 照り焼きチキン巻き寿司 How to make them. | Kurumicooks Japanese cooking
This video is about how to make perfect Teriyaki Chicken Sushi Rolls or rolled sushi (照り焼きチキン巻き寿司). Teriyaki chicken sushi rolls are a great way to make sushi rolls for people who aren’t too keen on raw fish. The only equipment you need is a rolling mat and a nice, sharp knife. Don’t be discouraged if you haven’t rolled sushi before, it isn’t difficult to do it with just a little practice.
The tips are:
When you spread your sushi rice over the nori sheet, leave a 2cm strip of nori at the top.
Then, when you are ready to roll, use your fingers to keep the filling in place while you wrap the rice and nori over it.
When the roll is about 80% done, tuck the bottom end of the sheet in before you finish rolling (watch the video and you’ll see what I mean!).
When you’ve finished your roll and you want to cut it, remember to wet your knife blade between cuts to stop it getting clogged with the sushi rice.
Then just serve with a little extra soy sauce and I think you’ll agree that these Teriyaki chicken sushi rolls are really worth the effort!
